So what if I bought a Miata tomorrow? This forum is getting ridiculous with these things.

Congrats.

I'm thinking about it. :mask:

Pfffft! Hardtops are great, and the MX-5's is practically helium-filled.

I've enjoyed the NCs I've driven. They are easy to drive fast. It's easier to get a ticket with those than an NA!
I dunno, I just find that the hardtops look silly.

Also, the NC is very easy to drive fast, especially at highway speeds because if you put your foot down at all, you're gone.

Of course, I'm comparing this to an Accord, so maybe I'm not the best judge...

Today on the highway, I noted the car has a ton of wind noise, it crashes over bumps and it feels like most other cars loom over me. I still loved every second of it.

Also, having almost no blindspot is crazy! Even with the top up I can see everything behind me. It's so weird that when I check over my right shoulder to see my blindspot, I end up looking out the rear window instead.

Ah geeze.  I thought I'd be the only NC owner for awhile, and your parents make a complete 180 and buy you an NC, in the same color as mine no less (at least I think so?  Can't really tell).  At least the top is a different color between our cars.

Congrats on the car.  I absolutely love mine.  If you think there's no blindspot with the top up, try it with the top down.  It's a breeze to merge.

If you have any technical questions about the car, let me know.  The 6-speeds are just as short as the 5-speeds, but I got a 6-speed just because I had to to get the other options I wanted.

I just got back from a run and I have to call insurance to get them to add the car.

Plus I'm reading the owners manual so I can fiddle with the stereo and whatnot. I just found out this car has a randomizer for CD's so it plays random tracks.

My parents really liked the S2k but I told them insurance would be killer, especially since I'm the primary driver.

One of my old bosses bought his son an s2k when he was 18, with the idea that he wouldn't be able to f around with his friends while driving in the car. Not saying that this would happen to you, but inevitably, the kid crashed it. I kept suggesting that he get him a Miata instead, and to this day, I have no idea why he didn't.
