Picture not loading for me.

Yeah I just fixed it. That's what I get for trying to do it from my phone.

I just hope it won't leak. I can't drive the car for the next week so it'll be a good time to see if anything comes out. :mask:

How would your gauge leak?

They are connected to a sandwich plate at the oil filter - that's how they get the readings. I'm just worried the sandwich plate might leak.

No radio or speakers anymore. And why would I paint the inside of my car the same color as the outside? Does my car look like a New Beetle?

The gauges are pretty bright at night but they aren't in my field of view when looking ahead, and they're no worse than the aftermarket head unit I had in there before.

Roll bar is blue breh. I wrapped the dash blue to match the roll bar.

I'm getting tungsten wheels so the car will look more subtle/subdued.

Tungsten? That is a very heavy metal. I cannot believe it would be a good choice for a Miata wheel.

They only light up at night, so a tint would make it harder to read during the day.

That'd be an easy solution for Rags if his light up all the time, though.

Couldn't get the damn hubs out to get the brake ducts on. I don't want to pay the $140-150 to have a shop do it.

I'm not going to get them on before I track on Sunday, and I'm not going to track again for the next 6 months or so, so I can study for an upcoming exam in June, so I guess I'll try to install them again in 6 months or so. :hammerhead:

Some photos from Laguna:

I have some video but I need to process/edit it still. I can see where I could make up a lot of time. My best time was a 1:52.2, but that was with boiled/cooked brakes. I'm getting some Porterfield R4 track pads for the front and will hopefully install my vents/ducts for the front brakes before the next track day.

There is actually another track day at Laguna on the 10th, but my car is making a horrible clunking noise when I get on the gas hard and shift. I still need to look under the car to figure out what's going on but needless to say, I can't make it to that event.

Shame, too, because I think with working brakes and some studying of my videos I can get a 1:49.

OK, something's up with the car and I can't tell what's wrong based on my quick look underneath...

The car has a lot more vibrations now than it used to. The stiffer motor mounts I have usually make the car vibrate a lot at idle, but all the vibrations smooth out with some gas. Now it's vibrating even more with a bit of gas than it does at idle. I looked at the motor mounts and they look OK, but I haven't taken the front wheels off to see if the nuts have backed off the mounts. I don't know how they could have, considering they're locknuts and took me forever to even thread on.

PPF looks fine under the car as well. When I get on the gas hard and push the clutch in to shift there's a loud clunk, and near redline the shifter starts wobbling like crazy. It's not a driveshaft or diff issue since the car run rough while stopped, clutch in or out, and the trans clunk is making me think it's the motor mounts, which is why I want to recheck them.

Hopefully I can figure this out soon. I want to get back out on track.

Does the vibration change when the clutch is depressed versus not?  Might be a flywheel or pressure plate issue.

Is there a trans mount?

Nope, only bolts to the PPF which attaches to the diff.
