A question for BMW owners

Is the slowest wiper setting on your BMW to fast for you?

I'm asking because on the 118i the slowest wiper setting is far to fast for even a light drizzle. I find myself turning the wipers off and using the "swipe once" feature which means I have manually tap the stalk to activate the wipers for a single swipe.

I don't know. My BMW hasn't moved in about two and a half years.

You don't have automatic sensors?

I usually keep the intermittent function to midway. The fastest setting is WAY too fast and the slowest setting is a tad too slow for normal rain.

They're "auto." Maybe the sensors in both the E60s we've owned were fucked up (they aren't), but I've always used the "auto" function as an intermittent function. They're always wrong when you try to use them alone and expect them to time the wipers accordingly.

I haven't driven my dad's E60 much in the rain, but the one road trip we took where it was raining, I remember I had to fiddle with the wipers quite a bit, actually.

The wiper systems of a 1979 BMW 320i and 2007 BMW 118i should be very different. No comparison.  :tounge:

I'm pretty sure you must have a very slow wiper function on that baby, something the 118i is lacking.

I'm sure it was an option, but my sister didn't order it.

Shit, I knew she should have bought a V6 Camry!   :winkguy:

I have no qualms with the fast wiper setting on the 118i. The "slow" setting is what really bugs me - because it's way to fast.  :frown:
