There's a white one with tinted windows and black wheels driven by a Tulane student. I'm not normally a fan of white cars, but this S5 looks incredible. Unfortunately, the other S5 owner failed out. He had a blue one.

Ignoring the fact that GT colors are white and gold (yes, I'm a smart-ass), I wouldn't get a black and yellow interior, nor would I get a gold and black interior on a DD. I would, however, consider building a tailgate car that would be entirely white and gold inside and out.


To be honest, the only interior colors I really like are the tans and browns. Black and grey (with black being given a slight preference) are acceptable if it's hard to find a tan or brown interior color, but I pretty can't stand all the red, blue, green, etc. interiors.

depending on your position and clientele, you'll want to convey some sense of success. In a big financial or accounting firm, chances are the kids you're hiring straight out of college have pulled up in a 3-series with the ink still drying from signing their lease papers, so the next logical step would be an E-class/5-series type of car. Hell, the big shot insurance brokers at my dad's job are driving S-classes and 7-series.

The people that own them are typically lower-risk and there are far fewer R8's to get into accidents.

I'm going to have to be discreet with this one, if only because I don't want to give any kind of negative impression to my plebes.

I'd have to go with an S4. It doesn't look like it's anywhere as cool of a car as it is.

Insure.com compiled data for a bunch of cars using a single, 40 y/o male driver with a 12 mile daily commute and 100/300/50 coverage with a 500 deductible (so all coverage was for the same "person").  The average premium from several companies was $1762.  The average for the R8 was $1637.  Jag XK was just over $1700 and the 911 was just over $1800.

depends on the company. nowadays, it's kind of frowned upon for the CEO of a financial institution to be chauferred around in a Rolls. Which I guess is why they have the smaller Roller now, along with the more sporting Bentley Continentals.

Well, my Elise costs less to insure than my RSX-S.. I think it's largely based on the rate of theft and the demographics of the drivers.

I don't care for green interiors, but I think that interior colors in cars nowadays are too boring. Especially the blacks ("charcoals") and grays. I like a deep red interior on a sports car, with enough black/CF thrown in to avoid resembling heavy menustration. For luxury/premium cars, I like deeper browns (not to be confused with a bland beige/tan) like the Mustang's "saddle" upholstery, and even the Nissan Z's orange "persimmon" interior.

Yeah, I agree, the wood's a bit off. But with aluminum trim, that would look sexy.
