ARGHHHH! Stuck socket on lug nut

Having been there more times than I wish to remember, I'm going to recommend you break the entire mess off with a Johnson bar and a pipe, replace the stud, then try to knock the nut out of the socket...!

Well, just needed a bigger breaker bar.  The thing was stuck on there.  So I went to Lowe's, bought a giant pipe, and got the lug nut off.  Then, slid a screwdriver without a bit in it, and popped out the lug nut eventually.

Winter wheels and tires are on.  :praise:

One of the few things I hate about old cars is all the things that get stuck on like no other. Seems about half of every project is simply banging on a big screwdriver, trying to loosen something up.

Pipe is your buddy. Just remember big, long pulls are the best way to twist and snap bolts and nuts...

The suspension is coming out in the spring.  I'll have some cash coming in, so springs shocks and swaybars will be put on.  I'll keep it jacked up this winter I suppose.

Tires are great.  Tons of grip, and a really controlled, progressive step out when I really try to get the back end to swing out.
