Sorry the pics suck. It's snowing here in Nashville and yesterday it was raining. The car is essentially a base model 2.0T with an auto in black leather.

Enjoy.

Seriously, though, congrats! I enjoyed the 08' 6MT I drove a few weeks ago.

2. 1995 Saturn SL2 5-speed, 126,500 miles. 5,000 miles in two and a half months. That works out to 24,000 miles per year if I can keep up the pace.

I don't care about all that shit.  I'll be going to college to get an education at a cost to my parents.  I'm not going to fool around.

I'm a huge fan of 9-3s (and Saabs in general). Congratulations, man. Enjoy it.

If you look closely, you can see my old Jeep parked next to it and if you're fortunate, you can see the mountains of rust eating away at the frame! Oh I'll miss that Jeep.

Yeah, dude, looks awesome.  I love the hatchback Saabs, so I tend not to pay as much attention to the newer ones.  What's the hp on that engine?  Pretty quick?

It looks like a lot of fun, hope you enjoy it.  You're the guy that had the Jeep GC with a boat load of miles, right?

After you wake up with the sun at 6am on someone's floor, coughing up cigarette butts and tasting like warm beer, you may well change your opinion on this matter.

315k miles on the Jeep. Two transmissions. A couple of waterpumps and radiators. It was a pretty reliable car there for awhile until the end. Every oil change would bring about new problems.

The Saab has 210 hp and around 230 ft/lb of torque. It's really quick. 0-60 is less than 8 seconds. The power really kicks in when you're already accelerating. Passing power is infinite with the Turbo. I was on the highway already today and quick acceleration and maneuvering is just brilliant. I'm still amazed at how quiet it is on the road even when accelerating hard.

I would have gotten a Combi if I could have found one in Tennessee at the price point.

Yes the pictures suck. They are non-existent!

But I gather it's a Saab with a 2.0L turbo engine.

Don't be a fool.  Only use your rear fog light in poor weather conditions.  So many European car drivers turn their rear fog on in the clearest of conditions.

Yeah, I saw an Audi with his rear fog light on the other day.  Not a whiff of clouds in the sky.  Durrr dur dur durrrrrrrr.  Which also means that he had his fog lights on.  In the middle of a perfectly-clear day.

European car drivers (as in the people) think it's horrible etiquette to use rear fogs on clear nights.

Volvo, Saab, and Mercedes.

The last generation Oldsmobile Aurora had them and it was the only American production car to ever have them.

How many miles?  How much did you pay for it?

My brother in Oklahoma is still driving his 1998 Saab 900 Turbo and loves it.  Like me, he's also a "drive it 'till it dies" type person.

You're my age.  We're getting old.  Plus, now that you're married, your life expectancy has gone way down, since you're more likely to be poisoned by your wife.

WookieOnRitalin

Madman,

55k miles. Paid 13500 before tax. Put 4000 down. I'm financing the rest for 60 months. Payment is in the low 200s.

Here's something I do not understand. The stock radio system on this car is fantastic and yet I read it sucked. I'm more than slightly confused. Oh well. Then again, I am only used to really crappy, old radios and the Jeep's blew out awhile ago.

On a side note I saw a XWD Black or whatever it is with the TT V6 in it. Kinda sweet.
