Interior looks awesome!

Engine options don't make any sense. 1.8L is rather large for a subcompact, and that motor IIRC has a drinking problem. 1.4T sounds nice enough, but I wonder how hard would it be to have a 1.5 or 1.6L so at least the car doesn't stomp all over the Cruze's toes.

I guess they're really making room for the Spark. It'll probably be the bargain basement 1.5L hatchback.

CJ

The interior isn't too bad, but the exterior looks terrible.  The front is all Mitsubishi Lancer and the back end is...well, it's terrible.  Do not want.

the Teuton

That's a really nice Aveo.

I don't care about all that shit.  I'll be going to college to get an education at a cost to my parents.  I'm not going to fool around.

I like that hatchback a lot.

Vinsanity

the sedan looks like a junior Lancer; makes me want there to be an AWD turbo SS version.

WookieOnRitalin

It looks good. Interior looks well put together as well, minus the two tone interior pieces. I don't understand the appeal there. It looks stupid especially when you realize that its cheap plastics.

It's still not better than the Fiesta and the lack of either model in Blue (at least for this thread) is massively disappointing.

Not bad. The front is very Lancer, which looks a bit awkward with the way the hood is sloped to me. The interior seems nice for a little car, but I don't like the round vents (never have cared for that look).

You're my age.  We're getting old.  Plus, now that you're married, your life expectancy has gone way down, since you're more likely to be poisoned by your wife.

Mustangfan2003

The front of the car looks stupid.  Wonder if Sonic Youth will do the music for the ads?

Cookie Monster

I usually don't say this but I really like the sedan over the hatch.

The sedan looks like a small, scrappier Evo.

The front end is quite busy and menacing, while the rest is pretty "meh."  Like they got lazy or something after doing the front 1/4 of the car.

Regardless, it's a neat-lookin' little dude.

the Teuton

I don't think the name 'Aveo' was the worst part about the last car, and to be honest, it sold well.

If every company went by that philosophy, the names Sonata and Optima wouldn't exist on any current cars.

Hatch looks good but the rear overhang of the sedan looks like the afterthought it is.  Proof, yet again, that B-segment sedans make absolutely no sense whatsoever.  Although I like the looks of the Aveo/Sonic hatch I think I'd still rather have a Fiesta hatch.

The Spark looks like it will be a pretty decent car for the money, too.  Now give us the Cruze hatch and I might finally have a reason to visit a Chevrolet showroom for the first time in...err......ever!

GM's engine strategy with this and the Cruze is incredibly confusing and I can?t imagine the general public making much sense of it either.

The fact that it actually has a cigarette lighter in it is more weird to me.

sportyaccordy

I really like the sedan, a proper looking small car

Definitely calls the purpose of the Cruze into question... Cruze needs to turbocharge the 1.8

Looks great, excellent interior for this price point, 1.4T promises to be a good engine. Chevy has a winner here.

Actually, at CSS (another forum I post at), they are using locally sourced engines. This is why the Aveo uses the 1.8 and 1.4T, and the Verano uses the 2.4DI instead of the 1.6 Turbo, that the Chinese market gets.

Cruze is a compact, this is a subcompact.

They must really be making room for the spark, It'll probably get the 1.4L, but without the turbo.

68_427

The Cruze should be updated with the 1.4T making 170hp.
