Man, I take it back.  It looks good from every angle except for any of the ones where you can see any part of the car at all.

I think I'm in love.

Wow, there's quite a bit of suspension intrusion into the cargo area!  My old Peugeot 405 wagon had no suspension intrusion whatsoever.

Only pic I could find of a Peugeot 405 wagon cargo area...

No prizes for guessing which one looks better.  An absolute must for any new TSX owner.

EDIT: Wait, is the TSX grille narrower than the Accord grille?  You may have to change the entire front bumper cover.  Damn!

That's because the 405 used a torsion beam rear suspension rather than a multi-link like the Accord/TSX.  Torsion beam suspensions are much more space efficient and don't intrude into the passenger compartment as much, which is why they are popular in small hatches.

Better camera this time, now you can see the color for what it really is.

The sky is starting to clear so hopefully we'll take some outdoor pictures later today.

I like the color, man.  That may be the color of my next car, whenever I get it.

Better weather, but we forgot the SLR at home, d'oh!

Nice, Kevin.  How does it drive?  Does it have tight steering and a good feel for the road?

I hope you have many happy miles with it.  Will it be your daily driver?

My car looks awesome.  It could use a drop though, the wheel gap is a bit much.

That picture of the cargo area in the TSX is a bit misleading.  It doesn't quite look like that in person.  I got my car inspected at the Acura dealer yesterday and checked out the TSX wagon.

The subwoofer is mounted inside the rear hatch.

It drives quite nicely! The engine is eager and silky smooth, not excessively powerful, but it definitely feels athletic. The car tracks well, handles well, and has quick steering. It's easy to violate my speed limit +10% rule. Most importantly, the seats are very heavily bolstered, which allows me to drive spiritedly without aggravating my back.

We're going to trade off 50/50 until I get my sportscar DD.

No, they only offer the 200hp I4 for the wagon.

The Saab's taller roof might be what's bringing its numbers so close to the Acura's. It looks like the cargo area behind the seats is significantly shallower.

The Saab also looks a bit wider, and the wheel wells/suspension don't protrude into the cargo area as much.

Yeah the stop motion stuff was cool, but calling the basis of the wagon a "sports car" is a stretch.

That's a great local brewery that we have. Do I drink their beer? No.

NomisR

The trunk of the thing looks quite a bit deeper than the truck of the RDX.  Too bad they didn't put the turbo 4 in the TSX.

Laconian

I'm actually happy about the engine, it's a good compromise between mileage and power. The observed fuel economy of the RDX (based on my research) was scary bad by comparison...

Haha, yeah, the fuel economy for the RDX is about 20-23mpg.  But I think it has to do with how heavy the car is too.  What type of mileage are you getting with the TSX?  This car seems like a nice change from the RDX.

Laconian

Well with all puttering around town during rush hour, and speed variations on the freeway, we don't have enough data to draw a trend. Consumer Reports says we should expect 30.

I can get up to 30 MPG on the highway if I'm in 6th and traveling 60 MPH. In 5th gear at 80 MPH, I get 23-24 MPG, and that's much more fun :praise:
