Yep. As the owner of a 94 Corolla I will say they are bulletproof.

Yeah, I learned to drive stick shift on a '97 (same bodystyle as yours) wagon with over 230K miles.  Original clutch and the engine had never been opened up.  Well-built little cars.

After you wake up with the sun at 6am on someone's floor, coughing up cigarette butts and tasting like warm beer, you may well change your opinion on this matter.

if you can find a good price on a Cougar, I'd recommend that one, but mostly because of the fond college memories it brings me. Watch out for water pump failure and keep an eye on your oil level like a hawk, though.

A couple weeks ago I prchased a DieHad battery and was stalling it i the parking lot at Sears. A guy walked passed and commented on how smooth the car ran. He couldn't believe that the car had over 240k! I purchased it with 180k back in '07 (LE with every option including a power moonroof) and have had very few problems. The only major repair was when the tranny went out last year. Parts and labor was only $350 so I didn't complain! LOL! Next year it gets passed down to my daughter.......

Aren't you always looking at getting another car? It's a shame I took it out of my sig.....but there was a quote from you that kinda went like this...."Honestly, when I do get a car I'll still be looking for my next one." But it was better than that.....the way you phrased it was classic.

Damn it! Why did I have to replace it with Caddy's quote? Because I love it.

Dude, I've already sold the Neon.

I wasn't just talking to be talking. I had a plan, and I have a line of action that I'm going to be doing.

Water pump failure? Is that a euphemism for menopause?
2. 1995 Saturn SL2 5-speed, 126,500 miles. 5,000 miles in two and a half months. That works out to 24,000 miles per year if I can keep up the pace.

I don't care about all that shit.  I'll be going to college to get an education at a cost to my parents.  I'm not going to fool around.

She'll hate diesel passenger cars, all things Ford, and fiat currency.  They will masturbate to old interviews of Ayn Rand an youtube together.
You can take the troll out of the Subaru, but you can't take the Subaru out of the troll!

Lubrication is essential with a Cougar. I think you got it right.
