Maybe we need to start off small. I mean, they don't let you fuck the glumpers at Glumpees without a level 4 FuckPass, do they?

I know Wimmer likes watching movies with a bunch of 70's American cars in it...

You bet. Can't get enough of that stuff.  :praise:

Just watched Dirty Harry II (Magnum Force) from 1973. I was actually looking at the cars in the background most of the time. I was saddened that in the end this gorgeous Ford LTD had to blow up.

Wow, 1977 Dodge Diplomat. What a sexy car. I love the simple shape of this thing and the pure elegance it radiates. I am dead serious.

One of my favorites.  :praise:

FWD? Have you driven one of these? They must torque steer like crazy. 7.0-l V8 I believe.

A rare Oldsmobile something Liftback or Slantback? Those actually look pretty good. The rear half reminds me of the Toyota Celica Liftback.

Not at all really: the torque steer is quashed into remission by the steering gear. I had a '75 Eldorado: not nearly as cool as that '68, but the same drivetrain.

Yep, its the ol' 472, and later the 500 (8.2 liter).

Love those '50s, '60s, '70s and even some of the '80s Cadillacs.  :praise:

PART 3

Wimmer's American Car Love of The Week goes to:

1974 Dodge Monaco

This car seriously turns me on. It looks elegant and "classic" and the fact that it was extensively used as a cop car makes it even badass. Love it.

My face still hurts from all the smiling I was doing.  I only got to page 120 or so.

My parents had an Olds 98 of that generation.
2. 1995 Saturn SL2 5-speed, 126,500 miles. 5,000 miles in two and a half months. That works out to 24,000 miles per year if I can keep up the pace.

I don't care about all that shit.  I'll be going to college to get an education at a cost to my parents.  I'm not going to fool around.
