BMW should just call a spade a spade, it's a FWD hatchback. From what I can tell, it looks pretty shapely.

I don't think it's a terrible idea. The 1-series is really tight inside. And it'll be shared with the next Mini's and IIRC a few Peugeot and Citroens, too.

What's with these pretentious manufacturers and their aversion to standard nomenclature? This isn't a new product; the French have a million examples of this basic formula.
