For a minute or two, at least. I was driving down the road and reached into my pocket to get my phone, taking my foot off the gas in the process. When I went to press the gas again, nothing. Pressed harder, nothing. Then I watched as the RPM counter fell to 0. Since it's an automatic, I had to pull off the road and put it in park to start it again. It started up just fine and I didn't have any problems for the rest of the day.

Any ideas on why that happened?

You shouldn't be going into your pocket for your phone while you're driving..... :nono:
A good friend will come bail you out of jail...BUT, a true friend will be sitting next to you saying, DAMN...that was fun!

Had to top off the coolant today because the light has been coming on again. Guess the stopleak stuff that I put in back in February has stopped working, so I'll be needing a new radiator. I'll also get a new valve cover gasket to hopefully get rid of some of the oil leak.

Still have yet to change the oil. I'm on spring break, so I'll probably do it tomorrow. Also haven't gotten a new fuel filter...

And to think, this seems to be one of the more "solid" cars in the family.

Changed the oil today, it looked normal. Dark brown, not milky. Definitely time to be changed, but no sign of major problems.

When starting it up after the oil change, I noticed a puddle underneath the car. Got my brother to come out and start the car so I could check it out and take a video. The radiator is leaking pretty badly now whenever you touch the gas pedal. Won't be driving it much until I get that fixed (this weekend at the earliest). I'll change the fuel filter then, too, which will hopefully get rid of the stumbling problem after start up.

Got the new radiator in without too much trouble. Didn't get to the fuel filter or valve cover gasket - that'll be a project for another weekend.
