70 more hp than a 335i

The G8 doesn't have 70 more hp than the 335i and is not as quick as a 335i (making note that the G8 has more hp irrelevant).

335i had 300hp?  G8 had 360 IIRC, I think 10 hp could be had from mods

Know I only look for stock cars when I'm buying used.
As do I.  Any mods, and I move on to the next one.

361
-300
 61 + exhaust, CAI, and a tune = 70+ hp.

A cold air intake wouldn't hurt either! Mods that are easily undone are usually the best one to make to a daily driver.

He's in Canada, any intake is a cold air intake.

Well, I added another car to the mix.  The Cadillac CTS 3.6 DI.  By buying it in the US, I can save myself roughly $12,000, even after I swap out the instrument cluster for a Canadian one at a cost of $1000 because stupid GM thought it was smart NOT to put km/h on the speedo......because no American ever takes their CTS to Canada I guess.  I'm coming around on the no V8 thing because if I want a CTS-V, I would probably have to wait about 7 years or so before it would fall into my budget.  304 hp is pretty good power anyway, but I will be missing that V8 rumble.

The funny thing is that clean examples with less than 30,000 miles of a 2009 G8 GT, 2009 Cadillac CTS 3.6 DI, and a 2009 Infiniti G37 are all around the same price from what I have found.  Yes the Caddy is definitely slower (0-60 in 6.0), but I think I am willing to sacrifice some speed for the styling of the exterior and the luxury of the interior.  The G37 has a fantastic interior, but the exterior doesn't make me look back when I'm walking away from it...oh and the nearest Infiniti dealer is an hour away.  The G8 has all kinds of upsides like horsepowers and torques, handsome styling, but the downsides are related to parts availability if I'm ever in an accident, and that makes me nervous.  The Charger is still in the mix as well because it has even more horsepowers and torques and has the sublime handling prowess of a BMW, but it is really fucking big and it feels like it from the driver's seat, and I think the styling will grow old faster.

I really want the 2010 CTS wagon though, so I may have to wait another year before pulling the trigger to get the wagon into my budget.  The Focus is holding up really well, so I'm not too concerned with replacing it quite yet, so another year won't hurt.

I forget how the new ones are, but on my car, you can flip through the settings for the IP display to show metric units instead. The number markings are fixed, so it only goes up to 160, but it's fun to watch the needle swing upward when you switch over. I'd be surprised if they removed that function from the newer model.

It's interesting these things are going for like 30K now.

That's about $8K more than I want to spend and the car is 3 years older than anything else I have listed.  Also, I refuse to buy a car that won't even let you check your own oil.

Really?  Okay, that's cool.  I will have to check it out.  It's not like I'm going to do 160 km/h anyway  :winkguy:

Haha. I did peg it at 160 km/h on more than one occasion, just for the simple amusement of seeing a speedometer needle buried. Good stability, but lots of wind noise at that speed. The new car seems much quieter, though.

My moms CTS is just like my Vette. You scroll through the menus until you see the metric conversion. And the CTS also has a digital readout that will read higher than 160 if need be.

Was down at the dealership last week looking at other cars for my boy, they have that bodystyle only a bit older going for $13k now.  I was really surprised.
