No Camry SE V6?

I'm more interested in the fact that the Plymouth Volare is missing from this list. How can we take this list seriously?

Wimmer humor... kills jokes dead

Laconian

Wimmer's been reliving a localized Groundhog Day for the past three years. He wakes up, comes up with that joke, and then shares it with the 'Spin.

3:25.1 GTI tested on 11/06
3:21.8 R32 tested on 11/08
3:19.3 GTI tested on 2/10

I am not sure which one of those two is the MkVI.

Thanks.  Still, the fastest one is about four seconds behind the Golf R.

Problem is VW and/or the dealers are bound to create a false economy for the Golf R making it ridiculous to actually buy one.

Manufacturer's suggested retail price. If people are willing to pay a premium, why stop them? You can't champion capitalism only when it works in your favor

I really would have been interested in seeing the times for a Camry SE V6.

When is he going to going to drive into a quarry or take a bath with a toaster?

Wait, Bill Murray retained his memory and everybody else reset. I guess its more like Memento.

The main reason why the ZR-1 is so fast is because of the pilot cups ZP.  Apparently they are even more aggressive than the pilot cups found on the GT3 and Viper ACR, and are pretty much completely slicks on the outside edge.

Yep, the 991 seems to be coming in as a fantastic performer. The Carrera S is faster than the 997 GT3 around the ring.

I'm really liking the 991. Saw it in Detroit yesterday and it looks stunning in person. And the cabrio is the first 911 vert that doesn't look awkwardly proportioned, IMO.

Do it!!!!

We'll see, a lot would have to go right between now and the end of the year for me to justify spending that kind of coin on a toy.  And I don't want to pull a raza and talk it up only to back out at the 11th hr.

But, a year from now the vette will be 7 years old, with a C7 right around the corner, so seems like a good time to contemplate replacing it. I still love my C6 though, and it's plenty reliable and only has 37k miles.

CALL_911

Wait, it only has 37k on the clock?

Why would you bother replacing it, then? The thing's practically new!

Objectively there's no reason to replace it.

You should wait on the C7 before you make a move.

+1. If they bring the C7's interior up to snuff...

They never will, and I'm not sure I'd want them to. There are reasons the corvette is such a performance bargain.

If they bring the interior up to par with the Cruze, I'd be happy with it.

 every interior has so much more content than ever before. It won't be 911 good, but it'll be a hell of a lot better than the current vette.

IDK. Base version yea. Performance versions, not so much... esp with any of the features needed to really access that performance. Plus the rest of GM's interiors have made big strides. No reason for the flagship sports car to stay in the past.

Raza

The Corvette's interior isn't that bad.  The steering wheel design is stupid (why can't they just do a three spoke?), but it's not that bad.  Besides, it's a performance car, who really gives that much of a shit about the entire as long as the driving experience isn't lacking?
