DS9 had a great cast. The Defiant. A war that lasted for years. It was a great fucking show.

I think the last season of Enterprise actually had some very good stories. If you have not seen them you need to see the Andorian/Romulan arch, Soong arch, plus the mirror universe episodes.

My biggest beef was that the prequel aspect did not become apparent in the story telling. Activate armor was essentially the same as raise shields.
I've seen all Star Treks ever made.

There were some good shows but it didn't really get past B-levels of sci-fi. It was about as good as the Stargate series, which are entertaining and mostly good, but inconsistent and occasionally really cheesy.

(They are fun and worth watching, though, don't get me wrong.)

I've seen all Trek too. The one Enterprise show that stands out to me as being "different" from most Treks was when The Enterprise was in bad shape. They had to stop the Zendi and Archer had to make a choice of taking over another ship and stealing their warp drive to save earth. Basically fucking the people on the alien ship who did nothing wrong. In the end he takes it from them to save earth. I thought that one was good and showed that even in the perfect future people will do "evil" things to save themselves.

Eh, I think http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/In_the_Pale_Moonlight_(episode) explored that theme much more effectively. Subtlety was not Enterprise's strong suit.

But yeah, I like it when I see chinks in the Federation armor. Humans are always depicted as so fucking perfect in that show. I know they're just as shitty as they are today. ;)

That one was on of the top 5 best ST shows ever. It's the best DS9 one too. Love it.

B'elanna is from the hood. I respect her gangster.
B'elanna was played by the second oldest cast member as well.  ;)

I was thinking more about the way the ship never degrades, never showed any signs of damage from its many conflicts, etc.  With TNG at least you could assume that after a clash with klingons that it could simply return to base for repairs.  But Voyager should have been a bit more dinged up by the end of the show, IMO.  I much prefer the style of BSG (no, I can't talk about Voyager without thinking of its much better alternative).
It occurs to me, Year of Hell.

Her job was to be possessed by alien presences and wear stupid nonstandard uniforms.

Seriously, ever other member of the crew wore the same crappy unisex jumpsuit except her.

1. STNG
2. DS9
3. Original
4. Enterprise
5. Voyager

TNG in fact is the best TV show of all time IMO. It is mastery. I can watch and enjoy DS9 and TOS. I can watch Enterprise but it's a bit painful and wouldn't go out of my way to do it. Voyager is essentially unwatchable, despite trying many many times via Netflix.

As for Troi's job, you should watch this:

At some point Frakes and Stewart describe Troi's job as "the feel-shitter". "You feel shit, right?"
I watched that about a month or so ago.  I enjoyed it.

I kind of liked Enterprise (voted for it) and the "early explorer" theme behind it. I always thought it would be cool to have a Star Trek series that took place before The Original Series. I know the series was hated and didn't enjoy that much support amongst Trekkies, but I liked most episodes for the most part. Jolene Blalocks tits were also great.  :ohyeah:

Up next in the order I like 'em...

2) Voyager - Nice theme of them being lost in the Delta Quadrant with no support from the Federation. The threat of the Borg was also cool. As much as I like Voyager, there were some pretty stupid and silly episodes (Threshold, Parallax, The Cloud etc.) which really dragged the series down a bit. Oh, and Kim and Neelix should have been offered to the Borg as a means of obtaining free passage through their space.

3) Deep Space Nine - Great stories and storyline (for the most part) and great chemistry amongst the actors. Enjoyable to watch. I especially loved the relationship between Quark and Odo, Bashir and O'Brien. Major Kira was hot. Dax and Jake were my least favorite characters.

4) The Original Series

5) The Next Generation - Ugh, unlike many, I hate TNG. I really do. Early TNG was really crap. It got better after about season three IMO, but it still sucked. Patrick Stewart was the only good thing about it. On the other hand Riker, Troi and Wesley just made me want to torch a Toyota Camry everytime they appeared on screen, especially Troi and her shitty acting. Marinia Sirtis should have stuck to her past career as a pornstar where she only needs to say "Ah, ah, ah..."...

For all those who love parodies, this guy is a fucking genius. He's called GeneralGrin and he's a master of making TNG funny and enjoyable to watch! In this guys movies, Picard and the Enterprise crew go around space killing species, each other etc. And he does it all with TNG, Voyager, DS9 etc. clips! Amazing work.  :mrcool:

He always names his movies like this: TNG Recut 1 - Title of Episode, so part two would be TNG Recut 2, part three would be TNG Recut 3 and so forth. WATCH IT. Shit is hilarious!

Here is Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wSMhj-hqoPI

I have often wondered why Picard would send Worf to protect this or that person when he had the ultimate body guard in Data.

Like sending a boy to do a mans job.

Picard did not recognize talent when he saw it.

Janeway wins.

Yes, but that did not show in the stories. The only one that comes to mind is one of the very early episodes where they mine that nebula (that turns out to be a life form)  for energy.
