Besides the interior being nicer, the current F-150 is hands down the nicest riding truck I have ever been in.  It doesn't clomp over bumps and the cabin is really quiet for a truck (quieter than some cars I've been in).  And yet the ride isn't really soft either.  I like the styling, though it is kind of slab sided with the high-sided box.  Personally, I don't care much for the looks of the current Chevy.  I thought it looked nicer a couple of years ago before they facelifted the front end.  The interior is nowhere near the same level as the F150 (though if you're just buying it for work duties, that's a non issue).  If I were to buy a truck today, I'd get a new F150 with the 5.4L Triton.

Also, I am sorry but the current Silverado's interior has looked outdated since day one. But, I do sort of like the design for some reason.

I'd never drive either, but I'll take the one everyone else wants.  Herd mentality.

IMO Chevy makes a better "work" truck, it seems like you cant break them. But the Ford better meets the needs of most truck buyers.

The Ford's ride is rather good. The seats are somewhat firm, but not to the point of being hard. I find them very comfortable. I'm also a little more pleased with the Ford interior because the one I drive (on occasion) is a SuperCrew 4x4 Lariat, with all availible options excluding satellite radio. It's an expensive truck for an F-150.
Interior looks exactly like this.
I think it's much more appealing than even a loaded Silverado interior. They don't change the sea of black hard plastic dash, no matter how much the truck costs.

You're my age.  We're getting old.  Plus, now that you're married, your life expectancy has gone way down, since you're more likely to be poisoned by your wife.

I don't plan buying a truck unless its just for work, so a nice interior and comfy ride aren't as important to me.

Both Chevy and Ford have "work truck" versions with crappy bench seats and crappy interiors.  What you're seeing in those pics is not representative of most examples.

Chevy all the way.

The Ford is nice, but my dad's Silverado is running strong at 99,000 trouble free miles.  No sqeaks, rattles, anything.  Truly like a rock.  This is after he rolled at 38,000 miles too.

Three years ago.  Flipped it up onto the side on a damp road.
It really should have been totaled out because of all the internal damage to steering, radiator mounts, etc that they didn't see initially.
Two months in the shop.

But it's still rolling along flawlessly today. :praise:

Usually if you roll a car, the roof gets squished.

No, but you did state the obvious..

SaltyDog

Uhh, no.  It won't necessarily squish the roof.  Usually you can roll it back over unharmed.
