only posers buy GT3s and not track them

Mostly poseurs buy expensive cars; that was true years ago and it's true now.  I'm not sure what your point is.

The lack of a clutch in a GT3 doesn't matter because the people who actually buy them probably wanted the PDK over the regular stick. Nobody here was going to buy one and nobody here has the skills to objectively complain about the lack of transmission choices. Not to mention Porsche waves the stickshift flag higher than anybody. You can get a fucking stickshift Cayenne. Aside from this (which isn't even confirmed), the GT-R and the M5 what other cars have lost stickshift? You guys are bellyaching over nothing.

The NA/turbo thing is a more legitimate gripe. Audi & BMW are almost all turbo. Focus SVT used to be N/A, now it's turbo. VW ditched the VR6. A lot of great N/A engine cars have died at the hands of bullshit emissions and more are set to go once they screw the clamps tighter. So that actually affects cars people like us can and do buy. But since you don't care about that it's not a problem. It's like bitching about Megan Fox getting a nose ring, but not caring about all avg women getting fatter and fatter every year. One is a way more relevant problem than the other.

Yeah, you think it's legit because it's you're fucking argument.  Do you not even see what you're doing?

No, you better trade your Jetta in for a DSG model because only "street Andrettis" drive manuals and DSG owners obviously are the shit and track their cars and are awesome.

The M5 hasn't lost its manual option in the U.S.

I?m not sure about your gripe being more valid. Yes, the loss of N/A engines is much more common, but the driver/car interface importance of the manual is in my opinion much greater than a little (ever less) turbo lag.

I saw this the other day and thought it was pretty lame :wtf:.

GT3/GT3 RS, to me at least, is about maximum driver enjoyment. Who would want to buy a car like that and not have the opportunity to execute a perfect heel/toe on a track  :nutty:?

A gt3 is for going fast on the track.  If your on a track, you better be concentrating on you line more then your shifting.  or driver involvement off the track, a carrera or Turbo with a more compliant suspension would be better..... and those have sticks

So for all those years before PDK people couldn't concentrate on both?

Better get automatic brakes and gas too, right? If you're on a track, you better be concentrating on your line more than your braking and accelerating.

Aren't track days for fun? I didn't know you have to be on the perfect line 100% of the time. I didn't know it was always trying to win something or putting down the best lap time no matter what. I thought it was a way to take your car out and run the piss out of it to your skill level without cops throwing you in the back of a police car.
