Cmon Ferrari I was trying to defend you. Spy shot of 599 replacement

From what I've seen (and the official reveal is scheduled for tomorrow), it's not too bad............... but I prefer the 599 GT, and actually, I prefer the 550/575M even more.

Ferrari are clearly designing for the target market, but that has shifted over the past 10 - 20 years from what it used to be........ not good for us, but sales volumes have tripled so it's not all bad, I suppose.

I am really not sure about the bolded. I would bet most of the folks who bought 550s new also bought 599s and will probably buy whatever this is going to be too. Plus at the time something like a 550 was the peak of performance (which I think is where Ferrari wants to keep its cars in their respective classes). Now you can get the performance and luxury of a 550 in something as pedestrian as a BMW/Jag/911. Ferrari has to stay at the forefront to rationalize the cost of entry (for better or worse).

As long as they're willing to sell me an outdated, low performance 550 Maranello, they can buy whatever else they want.
Maybe we need to start off small. I mean, they don't let you fuck the glumpers at Glumpees without a level 4 FuckPass, do they?

I've always liked the 550/575. Not Superamerica, though - that was a bit like Chip out the back with his welder and some tin.

I love it. Very trim looking, with great proportions. And it is pretty light for a GT (3,362). Should be a beast

The picture of it from the side makes it look like a much smaller car than the 599.  Is it smaller, or is it just visual effect?

Wow, that thing is now the best looking Ferrari in the lineup.  It took a lot of the California styling cues and did nothing but improve on them.

Great eye candy, but I'm not so sure about the swoopy line down the side.  It looks like Mazda had a hand in the design.

Yeah, the swoopy line is the one thing I really don't like on the car, but the rest of it is amazing.

In person, I think it will add visual width to the car, helping to pinch the front fenders

I suppose I'm more in favour of the long sleek visual.  It's really hard for me to appreciate something like this new take on that design when I know that they perfected it over 40 years ago...

That is actually quite good looking, though the rear looks much like the female reproductive system.

Sporty sure changed his tune.
First pic was hardly flattering, I shouldn't have used a shitty phone camera pic to judge it. It looks great, even Raza agrees

Catman

Not sure about the swoop either.  I guess they wanted it to look planted and racy.

cawimmer430

I want to know the location and name of that building in the background. That looks like an awesome place.

It looks like the swoop goes into the hood underneath the front fender forming a small "Bridge." At least thats what it looks like from the last pic.

Hahahahaha that's what I was thinking too!

It's too busy for my tastes, but it's not bad looking by any means. A 730 hp V12? Goddamn.
