What if the Shelby GT600 of the future is a V6, and by then nobody has ever heard of a V8? :mask:
Nope.  Never.

I'd buy a 4-cyl Corvette if they knocked $15,000 off the price.

Here's the wheels I wanted - 18" upgrade (I have the standard 17" wheels, which look really really plain to me). They can be had from Infiniti for $400/per which is a bit expensive, plus they'd need new tires so I'd be looking at ~$2,400 to upgrade. Have been looking at eBay but probably wouldn't do that (and they're not a whole lot cheaper used).

I just ordered a used set off ebay. $1600 for wheels and (new) tires. Only a few hundred miles but I'm planning to get them touched up by a local wheel house and will then get my snows (Blizzak LM-60).

I should be able to get $500 - $1,000 for the set on the car now, giving me a net of less than $1,000 to upgrade. This was totally bothering me but had to do it. I just hate the standard wheels.

GoCougs

Confirmation on shipment - wheels will be here next Tues. Will have to get then the wheel place for fixing, so looking at another couple of weeks before they're on the car. Should look sharp with the exhaust (the current stockers have a matte clear whereas these wheels are a bit shinier which should match the shininess of the exhaust better).

OMG,  now you will have that rough ride you wanted to avoid at all costs.

Laconian

Hey Cougs, PM me how much you want for those wheels. CL dude was a no-show. I found another guy selling his previous-gen G35 17"ers and tires for $400, but he hasn't responded in 16 hours.

No, HIS parents live in HIS basement, and if they don't keep up on their weekly payments, he's going to kick them out.
Maybe we need to start off small. I mean, they don't let you fuck the glumpers at Glumpees without a level 4 FuckPass, do they?

Got the new wheels installed. Got Blizzak LM-60s on yesterday...

Previous but with racks installed. HUGE upgrade IMO:

MrH

Not going to lie, not a huge fan of the new wheels either, but yeah, BIG time improvement over the other ones.

Do you usually park on the street, or just for the picture?

I don't really like either set, personally, but man, they both look small in those wheel wells.

Wheels all look the same. Some fender skirts would cover the wheels, and the giant wheel wells.

New wheels = now the best looking car in its class IMO; got a compliment at the tire shop and then at the gas station to boot.

Nah, I park in my carport.

Bold claim.  I like the new 3-series more, but it is a pretty good looking car.  It's aging well.

Oh yeah?  Well, I got a compliment on my car from both the lady who took my money, and the one who gave me my food at the McDonald's drive-thru   I wish I were lying, but those white trash heffers were lovin them some BRZ.
