Here's the wheels I wanted - 18" upgrade (I have the standard 17" wheels, which look really really plain to me). They can be had from Infiniti for $400/per which is a bit expensive, plus they'd need new tires so I'd be looking at ~$2,400 to upgrade. Have been looking at eBay but probably wouldn't do that (and they're not a whole lot cheaper used).

I just ordered a used set off ebay. $1600 for wheels and (new) tires. Only a few hundred miles but I'm planning to get them touched up by a local wheel house and will then get my snows (Blizzak LM-60).

I should be able to get $500 - $1,000 for the set on the car now, giving me a net of less than $1,000 to upgrade. This was totally bothering me but had to do it. I just hate the standard wheels.

Confirmation on shipment - wheels will be here next Tues. Will have to get then the wheel place for fixing, so looking at another couple of weeks before they're on the car. Should look sharp with the exhaust (the current stockers have a matte clear whereas these wheels are a bit shinier which should match the shininess of the exhaust better).

Bold claim.  I like the new 3-series more, but it is a pretty good looking car.  It's aging well.
