Tasty. Our Interceptor variet is being built over the next two weeks.

Interesting, but like SHO and other 3.5L EB variants, there will be better options available for the same price (V8 variants of the Durango, GC, etc.).

i agree, especially for the price of the ford SHO. according to automotive news, the SHO will appear in most, if not all television ads and many print ads for MY13. the article, appearing about a week ago states that FMC will market the taurus as a premium level car (as ford's flagship) and strive towards 25% of all new retail sales of the 2013 of the taurus to be SHO variants. i find that goal lofty, eh  ?

pretty progressive, eh? have yet to see one on the road (thankfully, not chasing me -- chuckle). i heard a rumor that the initial ones are badged "2013" -- true? i always enjoyed seeing the variations growing and even still.

Colonel Cadillac

I have been wondering when they were going to put the EcoBoost V6 in the Explorer. Glad to see they haven't forgotten to.

It's still a 4,500-4,700 lb. vehicle.  Anything that heavy will get shitty mileage.

The flipping hell? An explorer weighs that much nowadays?
"On a given day, a given circumstance, you think you have a limit. And you then go for this limit and you touch this limit, and you think, 'Okay, this is the limit'. And so you touch this limit, something happens and you suddenly can go a little bit further. With your mind power, your determination, your instinct, and the experience as well, you can fly very high." - Ayrton Senna

Yep.  According to Cars.com, a front drive 2013 Explorer weighs 4,557 lbs.  Going 4WD bumps the weight up to 4,731 lbs.

You gotta burn a lot of hydrocarbons to shift all that weight about, no matter what engine you're using.
