agreed, but i bet sentra sales will increase significantly when the new model is introduced. the same hold true for the '13 altima, i bet. i think the versa sedan is on target sales wise, but i cannot be certain. i still love the maxi's look inside and out.

Barring the B13, when was the last time anyone looking for any "sense of excitement or enthusiasm" bought a fucking Sentra/Versa? Provided they're looking in this class, they'd go for a 3/Focus/Golf.

I wasn't arguing that a Sentra provides heart-pounding excitement. I was saying that the mere act of buying a new car is usually pretty exciting. Nissan has finally designed a car that is so amazingly bland that it takes even that bit of excitement away from unthusiasts.

I would argue the Civic still looks pretty good and still drives well despite being so old.  This Nissan is so bland I can't remember what it even looks like and I just looked at the picture.

The last/current Sentra wasn't offered anywhere outside N.America, IIRC, so it wouldn't be absurd for them to give us perhaps a uniquely-styled body on a variation of this platform as the next Sentra.

The Civic has an interior fabricated by Fisher-Price and is outclassed by everything, including its predecessor. I'm pretty sure this is more worth getting excited about than the Civic is.
