You wouldn't?

I dunno, if I bought a car every time it randomly popped up in a dream, I'd have like a dozen W126's

I fell in love with it in my dream. Until I hit a wall.

You're going to have a lot of Voyagers and PT Cruisers.

Supply and demand.  There's plenty of those out there (originally dumped into rental fleets, maybe?) so they tend to be cheap.  You can't beat a hugely practical car with low miles, decent reliability and a near giveaway  price.

Oh, there's plenty of cheap Taurus sedans out there, too.  But I just couldn't.  Not even if you forced me at gunpoint!

I kind of liked the 2000-2005 Taurus for what it is, though I've never driven one. Compared to the GM sedans of that time, Ford just had a far better grasp of how to make a modern interior -- the Impala's seats and dash were firmly in the 1980s style, and nothing else offered that same room for the dollar.

Plus, there's a wagon. Definite bonus points there.

I have to admit, one of those LWB Chysler minivans would make a perfect place of dwelling for a modern-day hobo. Remove the 2nd and 3rd rows of seats, throw an inflatable twin mattress in the back, and find a peaceful spot to park down by the river  Just make sure you get one with the windows tinted really dark.

It seems like all Tauruses of that vintage have sagging springs, though.

Hmm.  If this Cheyenne transfer goes through, I may need to sell the car and execute this plan after all.

Whoever supplied the rear springs did a horrible job with tempering them or something.

Their V8 sounds excellent and they are extremely well built and reliable.  For a cruiser, they're hard to argue with.

Those SC430s are just wrong.  Heavy, ugly and expensive.  Just don't.

Not all SC430s look terrible.

and the interiors are pretty nice.
