Which makes it impossible to go wrong!

I really like it when models don't change too much (as long as they got it right in the first place).  Helps them age well.

The current one.  They all look the same, so the best one gets my vote.

The 996 looks terrible next to its brothers and sisters.  Easily the worst looking one.  Give me a 997 and I?ll be happy.

I actually really like the 996, post facelift.

I'd say 997 or 993, but I saw a 991 S the other day in town and holy hell does it look good.  The other models would come in no particular order after that, but the 996 would definitely be in last place.

Why the fuck is it 991? Goddammit, I'm going to be confused every time someone refers to it that way.

I've seen two 991s in person on the street (in addition to the ones at the Detroit auto show), a dark blue Carrera S in Montreal 3 weeks ago, and a white cabriolet (not sure if it was an S or not) here right after that ... They are stunning in person, better than the 997 IMO (and I am a fan of the 997).

The 996 is, IMO, the worst looking and least desirable 911 by a mile.

Agreed 100%.  The only 996 models I thought looked good were the Turbo and the Carrera4S (which had the turbo's bodywork).  The other 996 trims lacked the curvaceous, flared rear fenders that have adorned 911s for many years, and the car looked rather plain as a result.  Like a bar of soap.

Yeah, but a 996 Turbo Cabriolet?  Sweetness.

Me too. Probably has to do with my coming of age then.

No.  Even the turbos don't look that good. And the 996 interiors were crap.
