Sweetest Prom Rides... WTF?

This website is a conglomeration of like 20 newspaper statewide, and I guess editors in some areas make their photogs go out and cover proms for some reason. Anywho, they put together a statewide "sweetest prom rides" gallery. I'll reserve my comments for later:

For my senior prom, we rented an S-Class limo. People wanted a Hummer, I recall, but I lobbied against that choice and got everyone to go with the Benz.

Not enough privacy. Back seat comfort is probably THE criteria for a sweet prom ride. Anything else is secondary.

Kids these days have their priorities screwed up. They all pile in together in some awful overs-tretched monstrosity that you have to duck-walk to get into seat in, and then sit crammed in together with 15 or 10 other idiotas.

When, for the same amount of money, they could have gotten a private car for two: and with the double divider wall.
Maybe we need to start off small. I mean, they don't let you fuck the glumpers at Glumpees without a level 4 FuckPass, do they?

I was with some other people riding around in a '67 Chevelle SS, smoking pot, drinking beer and listening to Hendrix and the Doors on the 8-track, while the whole time being thankful I wasn't at the prom.  Whose theme was, in the year of 1970, Crystal Blue Persuasion. I remember seeing the girls decorating the gym for it.

I thought it said porn ride.

The grads in our town have a parade every year and some of them get to drive their parents' cars.  Last year there were 3 Vipers, a Lamborghini Murcielago roadster, a Ferrari F355 vert, a Ferrari F360 Modena vert, a Bentley Continental GT, an Audi R8 Spyder, a couple Corvette convertibles, an F-350 pulling a 24" Tige wakeboard boat full of grads, and various Porsches.

My girlfriend and I went in her '78 Chevy Nova (in 1987).  Wow, times have sure changed!

Interesting, being in the UK and all! Is that a common limo in your area?

Probably the most common.  The exception is a few Porsche Cayennes, and funeral cars which tend to be Mercedes or Volvos.

I remember being shocked by the number of Lincoln Town Car limos I saw the first time I was in London.
