Are Hondas worth it?

I wouldn't buy a TL over a G37.

The TL is definitely more of a luxury car but it's big, polarizing, and the FWD-based AWD + transverse engine mounting is a bit of a 'meh.' Honda also sucks at making slushie ATs (the new RL is reported to debut with a DSG gearbox).

I'm assuming you haven't driven one. It's one of the worst cars I've ever driven.

I don't believe you, mostly because you say it's bad handling. Handling means absolutely nothing in this context.

Great, so they'll put a DSG in it but still skip out on the V8 + RWD...

What context? The handling was atrocious. I've driven plenty of cars with relatively poor handling. This was the worst I've ever driven, by far, in this segment. It's whooped by effectively all its competition. Like I said, I had zero confidence in that car.

Confidence how? You also said the same thing about the RAV4, but I didn't find that to be true.....

You'd probably be outright terrified by driving my Yaris.

I hated the RAV4 for other reasons - mainly its flimsy feeling and its outrageously terrible fit and finish.

I've never driven a Yaris, so can't comment.

"All of its competition," which you clearly haven't driven.

Yaris is one of only two cars that actually makes me angry when I drive it.  I fucking hate it.

I don't understand that either, but whatever.

I've driven enough of it ? generations past and present ? to know the current Elantra sucks balls in the handling department to a higher level than anything else in that segment I've driven.
