AP1 S2000, 944 S2, Toyota T100 4x4, old diesel S-Class. We all know what those cars looks like, and we all know they are easy to find for under $50k, so screw that rule. Convert the T100 to diesel if there's enough left over.

Scratch the S-class, add a Saab 96. Passengers can just go screw themselves.

What would a Solstice do that a Miata couldn't?

Does this 4 include spouses whips as well?

If so, my 4 would be

Suzuki SV1000S- $4K all day
Infiniti G20 + SR20VE- $6K w/the swap- daily driver
03 ish Corolla- $6K or so, wife's car
Minivan big enough to hold motorcycle but nice enough for road trips- $6K

If not I would replace wifey's car with a project car. Prob would throw ITBs and a Pathfinder crank into a really old Maxima, or build that motor and throw it into an E36. $50K lmao I think a more fitting challenge would be $25K.

4 vehicles for $25k? At that point, I'd rather spend the money remodeling the double-wide trailer home those vehicles would inevitably be parked in front of.

Jeez, those are expensive.  They've come down (a few years ago, they were listing for mid to high 20s), but that is expensive.  I'd love one though, I be they're awesome to drive.
They are only going up from here, thats pretty much a guarantee. I want to say all M3s except the E9x have bottomed out but that might be too much.

$17K for an E30 M3... maybe I am blaspheming here but I would rather an S14 240SX w/an engine swap. $17K! Thats a lot. You could get an E46 M3 for that.

Yeah, that's true.  I considered getting an E46 M3 because so many were so cheap.

Man, good thing you labelled those with their purpose! I was thinking that maybe the Land Rover was supposed to be your sports car.

According to some people on this board, a sports car is whatever you want it to be, so why couldn't a Range Rover be a sports car?  Hunting and offroading are sports, it's a car.  Sports car.

Craig said the four cars had to cover all your needs.  No renting or borrowing.  So I put the purpose so there would be no question as to the use of each car.

That's way more than I'll ever need, but it's fun to think about.  I'll still have $2200 to fix the little issues on the Suburban and knock the timing belt service out on the Pacifica and V70.

Yeah, four cars is total overkill for one person.  I was grasping for my fourth car.  I figured "Well, I should put something that won't break down all the time".  But honestly, between a Z4 and a Viggen, 99.9% of my situations are taken care of.  I'll get snow tires for the Viggen and a roof rack and I'm set.  It's so much easier to buy a cheap, practical, and fun car than buy a cheap, impractical, and fun car.
