I would never buy 4 cars with $50k.  Two at most.

I refuse to participate

Yeah, this makes no logical sense.

I'm changing my submission...

1. 1st gen Honda CRV with an H22 turbo, locking center differential, and rally coil overs. $7,000 after restomod.

2. FRS with 6000 miles on it. $23,000.

3. 1995 Ford F-250 turbo diesel, slammed, stanced, gear splitter, Lightening body kit. $10,000

4. 2008 Kawasaki ZX14R with turbo kit $10,000

I'll just do it with basically the cars I already have.

'94 Chevy diesel dually
'06 Mustang GT convertible
'11 MINI Cooper
and to switch it up, an '01 BMW E38 Sport (to replace my dearly departed '98 E38)
Like a fine Detroit wine, this vehicle has aged to budgetary perfection...

Eye of the Tiger

Replace CRV with 840ci. I saw one today. Magnificent.

That's a small boat. The kind thousands around here buy with no boating experience whatsoever, and then clog up Lake St. Claire, tie them all together and get drunk.
Maybe we need to start off small. I mean, they don't let you fuck the glumpers at Glumpees without a level 4 FuckPass, do they?

Pontoon boats are much better for being drunk and combining into one huge drunk floating island. The tri-hulls
can also handle amazingly well.

I've never trusted pontoons.

Good floating party barges if they're kept on tiny little lakes I guess.

23' isn't that big.  A good chunk of the wakeboard boats on the market are in that 22'-23' range. It's about the max I would go, but please don't act like it's huge.

We don't have many threads in here these days and not all that much to talk about. So anything's good for me.
As long as it's not some right wing Obama bashing thread anyway. We have enough of those.

It's not huge by itself, but when you're trying to navigate through into docks with other boats and shit it get's pretty difficult.  What makes a huge difference is also the width of the boat.

Agreed.

I thought Jalopnik's post the other day was a cooler idea.

$240k.  Used or new, doesn't matter.  Number of cars, doesn't matter.  How would you spend that on cars.

Seeing that I'll never spend that much on cars, I don't care.

1. You MUST choose 4 vehicles
2. The vehicles you choose MUST cover all aspects of your life.  You cannot say, "I'll rent or borrow".
3. Must not exceed $50,000 total.
4. Must be used.  No new.
5. Support with listings.

Vehicle 1:  Weekend/nice weather/summer toy.  Would eventually modify it.  $17,000
http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?zip=49866&endYear=2013&modelCode1=SKY&sortBy=derivedpriceASC&startYear=1981&makeCode1=SATURN&numRecords=100&searchRadius=200&listingId=328212965&Log=0

Vehicle 2: Utility and inclement weather. $14,000
http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?zip=49866&endYear=2013&modelCode1=15SIPU4WD&sortBy=derivedpriceASC&startYear=2000&makeCode1=GMC&searchRadius=75&listingId=326577774&Log=0

Vehicle 3: Cruiser. Distance traveler. Good transport for when I've got friends with me. $4,000
http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?zip=49866&endYear=2013&modelCode1=PASS&sortBy=derivedpriceASC&startYear=1981&makeCode1=VOLKS&numRecords=100&searchRadius=0&listingId=327784583&Log=0

Vehicle 4: Daily Driver.  Used year-round with tire swap.  Still fun, but practical.  Good for long-distance drives with curves in mind. (Basically, my car.) $14,000
http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?zip=49866&endYear=2013&modelCode1=A4&startYear=1981&makeCode1=AUDI&exteriorColorSimple1=BLACK&transmissionCode=MAN&searchRadius=0&maxPrice=15000&listingId=327758281&Log=0

I'd probably want a motorcycle, too.  I might do a second one with that in mind.

Raza

W8s cost $4,000 now!?  Jesus fucking Christ.  A 6 speed W8 wagon would be an awesome occasional use car.

But why a Sky in "not as good as a Miata" trim and not a Sky Red Line?

Hmm, I think I'm going to do a second list now.

I didn't spend enough time searching to find a Red Line.  Though that would obviously be ideal.

I want to change my list too. After this weekend

Pedal/commuter bike: Mercier Kilo TT + Sugino 75 drivetrain + Chinese carbon tubulars (50/88mm)
Mountain/track bike: 98-02 ZX6R w/ZX-12 forks + 636 shock and chopped SOLO seat.
2 up/utility bike: ZZR1200 or Bandit 1200 w/luggage and back rest
Car: Old Accord or Corolla 5 spd wagon.

50K lmao I could prob do all this for 10K. Don't sleep though, the pedal bike would prob be a good $1000 of that
