Ford Fiesta Facelift

Not sure how successful the new face really is. The real story is under the hood; it should be using the new 1.0L Ecoboost which makes more power and torque than the 1.6, but returns better economy.

Rememeber when the geo had the three cylinder 1 liter engine.. not a lot of power but big on fuel economy.....

Small engine good for city and slow highway,, no more than 55 mph.... the wind resistance just requires too much power... I'd get one... but it probably won't break the 88 mph i need for time travel.

The 1.0L Ecoboost produces 120HP and around 140 ft/lbs of torque. That's more powerful and torquier than the engine that currently is in the car right now.



Ford has even put it in the midsized Mondeo/Fusion for the British market.

Nice reinterpretation of the Focus nose on that Fiesta.  One of the few cases where a facelift looks better than the original.

I assume the new nose will also be used on the hideously ugly sedan, too?

Anyone else think that a two-door, shorter version of this would have made a better Aston Martin Cygnet? It looks premium, stylish and even sporty. All characteristics that the iQ doesn't have.

I am disappointed in the look up front. The "new face" looks great from the pics of the 2013 Ford Fusion and nice on the actual '13 Taurus but I really have to see this one in person. At least they are consistent.

I don't mind the shape of the grille but it's too darn big.

The interesting thing about the 1.0 I3 Ecoboost is that it runs without any counter balance shafts. Instead Ford created a flywheel that is unbalanced by design. The unbalance in the flywheel counters the inherent unbalance found in I3 engines. From review I have read it works very well.

That's bizarre, but pretty cool when you think about it.

I think it works.  It makes the headlights look smaller than their normal comically large look.

I think it only looks big in person.  This car is tiny so the grille is actually quite small.
