My new car

Imagine how the interior rattles must be in a creaky flexy convertible.

It's not bad right now, and I have a pretty high tolerance for them, coming from Honda products and a Miata.

Onslaught, that other guy (E-type guy??), Rich, and myself are the only official Scooty Puff Jr. Miata owners. Rags has fake-Miata RX-8 rebody :P

For winter tires I'd just get some cheapo alloy 16s and a battery powered impact gun. Easy enough to change out as our winter vacillates between frozen horror and weeks of annoying high-40s blah.

Also whore moo

That's a great local brewery that we have. Do I drink their beer? No.

I see you bought at Kirkland. Didn't have a good feel there, esp. in the used side of the business. I went to Kuni and it was much better.

Am I missing anyone?  Afty has a G35, and so does Morris's son, right?

I have a Miata as well.

Back when I worked at Cobalt, Kuni had a reputation for being the region's biggest collection of dolts.

They were decent to me, and there is practically no inventory for that car anywhere.

Correct.  Who's Philip?  Add Rich to the Miata list too.

Philip posts under the name Philip.  He comes and goes, but was active more a few years ago.  He has an NA model, either the M pack or the R pack, I can't remember.

I forgot about Rich keeping the Miata.

Chimp, Philip, HRP, MiataJohn, Onslaught, FBC, someone named flipside who has all of 2 posts and me with my fake RX-8 are in the club.

Compared to Laconian, Cougs, SVT, afty and Morris (although his son has the G35 I believe).

Miata world domination is still imminent.

Well, same difference.

I feel like such an outsider, but the BRZ club will eventually break up this two party bullshit on the forum.

Good cars but the interior rattles and squeaking are getting to me a bit. The center console is squeaking like a canary. I'm going in for my 30k service soon and will have 'em look at that and some of the others.
I think you're having problems hardly anyone else has.  I don't have any of the rattles or squeaking you complain about.  Neither do two others that I know personally who own a 2011 G37 coupe and a 2010 G37x sedan.

The loud exhaust might be starting to break a few things loose.

I thought it might be because it used to be a rental and people weren't very kind to it.

lol. ALL G forums are all loaded up with complaints; simply Google "G37 interior rattles." It's a very common complaint with the 2nd gen G (and Nissans in general), and one of the few reasons it's relegated at best to "near luxury."

That was my first question.  Cougs, you can look up anything and find some links, but that doesn't mean it's widespread.  I haven't had any rattles at all.  Not one.  No squeaks either, and neither have the two others that I know with G37s.

Northlands

Congrats on the G convertible! I still have fond memories of getting to drive my parents G35 half a dozen times. I imagine the newer G37's are even more fun.

Yeah, but cougs search seems to have come up with G37/some G35 topics. Your link has multiple generations of the 3 series, plus links to 1-series and 5-series forums with rattle complaints so obviously there would be more hits.

It's a dumb way to prove a dispute either way, because it's not actually finding 341k results; the counts are just extrapolations.

My car rarely rattles at all 7 years in. Only the cup holders, which are pieces of crap.

My operative point is that all G37 forums have many many threads related to interior rattles and noises; so, not an exercise in extrapolation but of aggregation of concensus  ;).

Nice choice, Kevin....... Not driven the convertible version, but I did rent the G37 sedan and the previous model G35, and thought that they were both excellent cars. Enjoyed the rorty sounding engine, which made just the right amount of noise without being so loud as to annoy you, and (the stuff about rattles not withstanding) the interior is nicely done.

I think you chose wisely getting this over a MINI - your back will welcome the decision!
