I really liked having a hardtop for my Miata in the winter.
I wish I could afford one for my car.

You're my age.  We're getting old.  Plus, now that you're married, your life expectancy has gone way down, since you're more likely to be poisoned by your wife.

Congrats!  An excellent choice, if I do say so myself.

Mine is a G35 BTW.  But at least it's a current-gen G35.  :)

Congrats!  That's a really nice car.  I was crossing the street the other day and I saw one, and really noticed how great looking they are.  Much better looking than the very awkward-looking IS hartop convertible (and I like the sedan IS a lot).  .

Enjoy it!

Yeah, I saw the IS 'vert side by side with the G. No doubt the trunk capacity is less asinine, but the car has one *heck* of a ghetto booty. I bet rearward visibility is pretty bad in it.

IS also looks like crap with the top up. And crap with the top down.

I rarely go WOT in the G because it's just so fast.  I run out of road very quickly.

Yeah, the engine's thrust is dangerous even at lower speeds like 3500rpm. And it's barely even making 200hp at that point!!

The thrust from a dead stop can be very surprising.  This morning I tried launching from a dead stop with my foot on the gas and the brake and sidestepping the brake pedal.  Damn.  I wasn't prepared for it and my head hit the headrest.

Uh oh. You're on a slippery slope, mister. Next thing you know you'll be racking up a huge body count at the farmer's market.

I love this car.  And, now that I've lost 25 lbs (3" from my waist and 6" from my stomach) in the last two months I also fit in the sport buckets almost perfectly and they're way more comfortable now.

GoCougs

C'mon, guys. They're sorta quick but they're not that quick. In fact I don't think they're quick enough given 330 hp and 7sp AT; should be quicker IMO and I think some of that could be solved with gearing; gears 1 and 2 should be somewhat shorter, Gears 3 and 4 gears should be noticeably shorter, and then slot an additional gear between 4 and 5. I go WOT every time I'm in it, and I'm not necessarily doing breakneck speeds.

CALL_911

Supposedly, the 335i is quicker.

Huh.  Sounds like there's something wrong with your car.

AWD.  He's probably only making 250 to the wheels, plus all that extra weight.

By definition there can't be; anything that would greatly restrict power production and/or conveyance would throw ALL manner of OBD-II codes.

Nah; Craig's is an AWD sedan too. Plus, the AWD model isn't too much slower than the RWD model (5.0/5.2 vs. 5.3/5.4 0-60 and 13.5/13.6 vs. 13.7/13.8 1/4 mile). Lastly, the Nissan AWD converts to RWD not long after launch and thereafter only reverts to AWD based on the stability/traction issue.
