It seems like the decent ones bottom out around 12-13,000. It might be doable.
Maybe we need to start off small. I mean, they don't let you fuck the glumpers at Glumpees without a level 4 FuckPass, do they?

I am seriously considering trading the M3 for something more comfortable and hanging on to the 1M as my fun car. I'd love a 535i / A6 3.0T / Jag XF but the economic timing isn't right for any of those. So I am considering the much less expensive Passat V6.

This daily would be a lease.

Most likely I won't get anything and just hang on to the E90. But sometimes I fantasise about a truly comfortable car. I am getting old lol.

Soup, I like all your options. I'd go for the old Buick or the Merc.

Going out to Grand Rapids on Wednesday to look at the Mercedes. Price is a little high, but its a nice car with a reputation for being super reliable. There's an exception to every rule though.

Never thought of myself as a Mercedes owner type person, though.

I think everyone should own a car that's out of character once or twice.

Is this your way of saying you're trading in the Alfa on a nice new Camry?

The Pilot was pretty out of character already. Good car, but not my speed.

1: practical fambly car

2: fun lightweight car

3: ?????

No, like a Camry, an Accord, and your Grand Prix.  That's too many kids.

The B7 Passat is pretty boring to drive.  I mean, from an M3 to a current Passat is like going from an M3 to a mattress.  You'd be better off buy just buying a B6 Passat, which is comfortable and still decent to drive.

You will be disappointed.  It will be a mistake.

I've only seen one, 2009+ Element with AWD + manual transmission.  It's for sale in Long Island, NY.  It's a pretty good deal too.  All the reviews talk about what a shady dealership it is though.

If that was anywhere in the midwest, I'd be all over it.

We got a loaner TL for a few days while the TSX is getting serviced.

The car as a whole is kind of unremarkable except OMG those seats. *So* comfortable.

I want to replace my daily driver and the wife's car too.... but I'll probably wait a couple months to see what comes out before I make a decision....

Probably an EV/Hybrid of some sort for my commuter.. and argh.. I don't even know what to get for my wife... there's really nothing out there that appeals to either of us.. hell, a 6 seater like the Mazda 5 but bigger would actually be perfect.

Could go this direction: a little smaller than the Buicks, but I could do this just fine.

Lots of rust spots on that thing. All around the hood, under tail lights. And it's too expensive and AWD. Early 4Matic cars are trouble.
