Ha, I'd be looking for an old Ford Highboy 3/4 ton.

What is the most fuel efficient cheap vehicle to tow about 5000 lbs...?

If I had to put it on the Cool Board, it goes into the sub zero fridge, next to the shooting brake diesel Aston.

$8000 isn't a bad price on a Unimog, but my budget is more like $2000.

You can probably sell all the radio equipment from that truck and recoup some of the cost too.

That's a great local brewery that we have. Do I drink their beer? No.

I had two, and they were awesome, even though the engine was dead in the second one.

Duece.

Bonus; you don't need the trailer.
Maybe we need to start off small. I mean, they don't let you fuck the glumpers at Glumpees without a level 4 FuckPass, do they?

Yeah. Basic, solid, well-built, decently capable, funny looking. If they were better on the highway, I'd probably still own one.

I would like a grand touring sedan for floating down the highway. Does a 300D turbo count?

So long as the highway is flat, almost a little.

The time is getting close, and I'm getting excited.

I am scheduled to learn my bonus amount of December 19th.  Barring a catastrophe, it will be well in excess of what I need to buy the A6.  But being financially cautious and a bit superstitious, I don't want to commit to the purchase until I know for sure.

So December 21st looks like the day I will pull the trigger.  I still don't know whether I'll get one out of stock or have to order it.  I suspect I'll get one out of stock, since they significantly narrowed down the options packages.

Then the Bimmer will go to my nephew and his wife.  They're thrilled beyond belief.  They're going to get rid of one of their cars (they have 2 cars, a Kia and a Honda) and start using the Bimmer.  I know they'll be good "parents" to the car and have the means to maintain it properly, which was a concern.  I know of others who could use a car more, but they don't have means to keep a Bimmer maintained, and I didn't think I'd be doing them any favor giving it to them under the circumstances.

If it's well in excess then the reasonable thing to do would be to buy a R8.  ;) (Okay, fine. An S6 would be acceptable.)

You're my age.  We're getting old.  Plus, now that you're married, your life expectancy has gone way down, since you're more likely to be poisoned by your wife.
