Wallet is $2036 lighter.

Got a "used low mileage" JDM engine. He replaced all external and main seals, new t-belt and tensioner, water pump and thermostat, says its good for 80-100k miles before next service..

Thing purrs like it never has before- apparently it had valve issues since we bought it.

And now I have custom paint- the valve covers are red.

Now you just have to pray for a busted transmission and you'll be able to swap in a JDM 5 speed manual!

Also, interesting to note that your Subaru is the second Subaru on this forum that has had an engine swap...

Or order from fortune auto and when lyft rider asks why your car feels bumpy you can show them the dyno curve

not praying for anything of the type- we're broke.  :(

I did wish it had a manual, I only got automatic because supposedly the wifey could drive it when I need to take the kids somewhere. But she doesn't like "driving so low", the kids like it because it is lower, so INSTEAD, yours truly swaps car seats and she has driven it exactly twice. (Once to try it then when I crashed our minivan.)

But honestly now that I have the Miata the Subie feels like a big luxury car. So i'm almost kinda ok with an automatic- as long as I can still go have my fun.
