I think I still like them only because of my childhood to be honest. We have two that I know of driving around Charlotte and when I see them it takes me back to having my room full of posters of them. But if I'm honest with myself it's not as good looking in person as it was in those pictures.

It's not good looking.  It's ugly, but it's an awesome sort of ugly.  The Death Star isn't pretty, but it's bad ass to the nth degree, as is the Lambo.

What!? Yes it is! Even the one that wasn't finished looked good.

My brother got me designer Death Star lollipops.  I'll get a photo of one of them.

This and the 458 aren't even comparable. This is like a 458 on steroids.

Plus this is a far more limited run so it's probably more desirable.

The 458 probably has 90% of the performance for a tenth of the cost. The 458 also looks better and can be driven worry-free.  Paying that much for a car would pretty much give me heart attacks every time I took it out for a drive.  I think that's why I could never buy a McLaren F1 even though it's my favourite car of all time.  Besides, I kind of believe in the old saying "never drive your heroes" because you can only be let down.

No one who buys this is going to drive it over 50mph anyway.  Anyone with the money isn't qualified or even physically capable of exploiting it.  I've experienced WOT in a 430 and it was absolutely insane.  That's a four cylinder Camry compared to this.

There are a lot of people in the world that don't think that is a whole lot of money. Crazy to think for people like us, but it is true. These people only want the best that money can buy, the most prestigious, etc., because they basically could never spend all of their money, it is essentially unlimited.

One of my former clients let me ride shotgun in his Enzo once. Even though that car is now eclipsed by some "normal" Ferraris like the F12, it is is burned in my brain as the most visceral, insane automotive experience I have had, and I wasn't even driving. I would imagine this car is just nuts, considering how much faster it is by comparison.
Difficult takes a day, impossible takes a week.

No way would I take a 458 over this.  If I won the lottery, why would I settle?  I'd want the most ridiculous automotive experience out there.  IMO, this car represents that currently.  It is, hands down, the most gorgeous, outrageous vehicle to date.  To hell with everything else.  I don't care if it's 1% better than a 458.  When you're rich enough to be shopping in this category, why settle?

Have you ever seen one?  Factory Five kit cars are a million times better quality than the Countach.

To be fair, a Factory Five kit is far from a normal kit. If you know what you're doing, they can turn out just as good as a production car.

And it's a ton lighter.  It'll actually steer and handle like a super car.  The veyron was a plush rocket more than anything else.  Also, I would easily trade a foot and testicle for this vehicle.

Thankfully it's auto, only one foot needed!

The limits of this car are so high that it would be incredibly boring in day to day driving, and the only place to really have some fun would be on a track.

SVT666

I think the Nurburgring is the worst thing to happen to cars.  Capability trumps driver interaction now.

Do you have a lot of fun when you're driving at 1/1000 of your car's potential?

Yeah, seriously.  Have you ever driven a really fast car at very normal speeds where you are only experiencing 2 tenths of it's potential?  It sucks.  Drive a BRZ in the same conditions and you're pushing 8 tenths and it's exponentially more fun.

SVT666

That's the primary reason why, even if I won the lottery, I don't think I would buy anything more extreme than the Audi R8 (V8 model).  I don't live anywhere near a track.
