Best looking car of the 1980's?

i think people are mixing up best car of the 1980s with best looking car of the 1980s.

people look fondly back at the 80s accords because those cars were so well built, especially with all the crap gm and ford put out there.  it's the reason why accords are worth so much on the used car market.  and camry's, while equally reliable, have no sporting pretensions and were therefore labeled boring unlike the accord.

that model accord is cool looking no doubt, especially for a mainstreamer.  those pop-up head lights were awesome.  but "best" looking car.  better than a saab 900 turbo for example?  Even a 1986 mercury sable is a pretty good looking car.  made not to last 80 thousand miles, but that's a different thread.

CJ

The Saab still looks really freaking good.

Raza

Yeah, I love that Saab.  Most Saabs, actually, up until the last model line before death, looked great.

That Saab looked different. But I don't think it was good looking.

I always preferred (and owned) the smaller 4 door Cutlass to the Delta.

Was that car related to the Chevrolet Malibu of the same era?

I'm not trying to be funny/piss people off. I genuinely think these cars look sexy. I "grew up with them" on the movie screen and I like boxy design. It's my opinion.

Funny, the people who truly grew up with them (had to see them, drive them, ride in them, etc...) almost universally loathe them.
