Honda's Jade is certainly a gem of a car from a looks perspective. Not a fan of the Crider (not expected here), a Chinese market only Honda shared with us all at Carspin by fellow Spinner, 2o6. See his interesring thread and take a peak and read all about what I think will bode well in Asia.

IMO, the nifty Jade wagon (shown above) has a far more universally design appeal -- one that I think would appeal to the North American market.

New Honda Jade Targets Chinese Market, but Could be Offered Elsewhere Too

(Carscoop) Honda and its local partners presented several new cars at the ongoing Shanghai Auto Show including the CRIDER compact sedan, the production-intent M minivan study and in this case, the Jade people carrier, the styling of which bears a passing resemblance to the European market Civic Wagon Concept.

The Jade is the completely down to earth production version of the far more provocatively styled Concept S from last year's edition of the Auto China motor show.

According to Honda, "the Jade was designed to match the tastes of Chinese customers born in 1980s who are energetic and known for pursuing their dreams." The Japanese carmaker added that, while the new Jade was developed primarily for the Chinese market, it was designed as a global car, meaning it might be sold in other countries as well.

Production of the car will take place at Honda's Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co. joint-venture plant in China, with sales to start in the country in September this year.

Now that's the kinds of Honda I know and love. Never been a big fan of Chinese styled vehicles, including those offered by Honda.

The next generation Honda Civic planned for NA is said to include more body styles than just a four door sedan and two door coupe. Honda brass has dropped more than a few hints of up to two (2) hatchbacks (a three door and a five door, both with various trim levels) -- at least of those anyway and their all but the promise of the long waited return of a Honda Civic wagon.

One thing is certain, most if not all future Honda Civic and I think Honda Accord models, as well, will be designed in the United States for our tastes. These points were brought up around the time of the MY13 Civic was released.

Not bad. I predict itll replace the now old as heck 'Stream' in other markets
