hat do you think the ones now are made of? I'm sick of the standard porsche front end and liked that the finally changed something.

Fine French crystal.

The 996-era are a lot of plastic; newer and older are less. I dunno, it's kind of the problem with '90s cars, IMO.

That's a great local brewery that we have. Do I drink their beer? No.

Laconian

It's the best example of early 90's aero styling IMO. The Mark VIII comes close but has dumb details like the fake spare tire bulge in the trunk. And the Cosmo has an awesome rear windshield.

+1 to Aurora and DB7.

My friend's Aurora was sweet.

As much as the old XK8 has aged, the DB7 has not aged at all.  Still a gorgeous car.  The XK8 still looks good, but not as breathtaking as it used to be, unlike the DB7.

The DB7 looks newer because all Aston Martins look the same.

I think the DB7 looks dated now and the Jag looks better. The new DB9 and others look so much better then the DB7 that it just made it look like crap after they came out.

The greenhouse on the Jag looked too squished and the overall shape just seemed a bit bloated compared to the DB7.  The Aston has more side glass, and looks better proportioned for it.

It's funny how things change over time.  When the XK8 was fresh and new, it was gorgeous.  Now the lines look a bit soft, the overhangs are too long, it sits too high off the ground, et al.  The DB7 still looks as crisp and dynamic as it did back then.  Although, it must be said that though I didn't like the DB9 as much as the DB7 when it came out, I think I've turned around and now I like the DB9 even better.

Same here.  I always thought they looked quite elegant, especially in black.  I liked the idea of the 'miller cycle' engine as well.

one of the best looking mainstreamers i thought.  only in ss trim in black or cherry.

Onslaught

And when it came out it was one of the best screwed together cars of the time. The panel gaps and  overall build quality was much better then cars near or over it's price range. It's sad that we never got to see what kind of cars the Amati brand could've had if this was going to be the cheap car.

I've never seen an MX-6 with FD RX-7 rims on it before. That's a first.

But then again I'd never seen a Millenia with MX-6 rims on it until today too.

God damn, that MX-6 is so gorgeous.

My aunt had one of those that was in absolutely mint condition. I'm talking the most perfect used car I've ever seen in my life. It was a top of the line V6 in that dark hunter green and tan leather. She sold it for way too cheap a few years ago and I kick myself for not picking it up. But it was an automatic and I don't like those.

Ford Probe

Mazda MX-6

I do love those 2g MX-6s.  The Probes looked good, but there was some awkwardness in the roofline (the fastback should have started further forward).  The 91-93 240SX fastback pulled off that look better, IMO.

I rarely see Ford Probes anymore but when I do, I whip around like I just saw a topless woman.  It's an awesome looking car.

From most angles, the 2nd gen Probe looks fantastic.  The profile is just a little awkward.  The B-pillar is too far forward, or the flat portion of the roof extends too far beyond the B pillar before transitioning into the fastback.  The 240's fastback starts right at the B-pillar and it makes for a smoother shape.  The MX-6's liftback likewise starts at the B-pillar rather than extending behind it like it's Ford sibling.

I wonder if life would have been different if I bought a probe instead of a Neon.

Also, IMO, the Eagle Talon looks better than those two.

Second Gen Probes really look good. First Gen Talon/Eclipse were nice looking too....

I didn't think too much of the Probe's interior. But it looked fine from the outside. I know that owners and fans of these cars wouldn't need to give a crap about this. The MX-6 and Probe are just about the exact same car but somehow Ford managed to make the Probe 20 times more difficult to work on. Putting a front end on the MX-6 wasn't anymore difficult then any other car out back then. But the Probe was a pain in the ass and everything about the 1st gen Probe was a butt raping nightmare.
