I like the wrong color better.

I see that color (the "wrong" color) or something very similar to it on a lot of new BMW 3-Series sedans and the X3 crossover models. Mercedes-Benz makes a color much like it. The MB shade of light-medium blue seems popular on E-Class Saloons and Estates -- at least here in NYS. His chose something more unique, I think over what I believe is what BMW would call a "standard colour" but an extra cost one, of course for its metallic or pearl affect finnish.

Late to the party but here's one thing though, does BMW seats have VIN# on them?  If so, then moving them to the other car means the VIN# wouldn't match unless the actually update the information on the seat as well to match.

I've never heard of seats having a VIN matched with the car.
