Probably not. The featured 1969 Polara 440 was a much better (powerful) car. By '74 the 440 was choked to just about nothing.

California was so behind the times.  In the 1971-75 time frame Alabama had these.

The 2nd gen Javelin with the 401 was a potent package but I wouldn't be surprised if Mother Mopar's big block Magnum-powered sedans were the better freeway pursuit vehicles (more top end, more stable at 100+ mph).
