hyundai sonata recall

I like my 2007 sonata a lot.  The paint quality sucks though.  That generation Sonata forums always bitch about rust.  Hyundai should have taken care of this a long time ago.  By waiting it out, they saved a bunch of cash from people who got rid of their sonata, but lost a bunch of future customers too.

I gather the rust issues are pretty widespread with Hyundais.  I seem to remember another recall from a few years ago due to serious (as in, compromised structural integrity serious) corrosion issues with quite a few Hyundai models.

I've seen pictures of 2001-ish Accent subframes rusting completely out of their mounts.

That's awful. My ex-girlfriend ("XLR girl" as she's known here) also had an '03 Santa Fe and it had a lot of rust spots. No excuse for that, in my opinion. My mom's '99-ish Durango didn't have a spot of rust on it when she finally got rid of it in 2011.
