College campus = lots of scooters.  I'll have to nut up and take care of this one, I guess.

giant_mtb

I put about 40 miles on mine yesterday.  Felt nice.  And now it's raiiiiiiiining.

FlatBlackCaddy

Should have picked "your car next to a women in a bikini", we probably wouldn't have to had to wait for too long.

Hey giant, it's been a week and I don't think anyone will get a scooter.

I believe it is within your power to choose another topic.

Something with boobies maybe, hey it's up to you.

Just mentioning it, this will be a fun thread to keep going.

What, nobody can find a limo to park next to?  Come on, guys.  It's not that hard.

Easier that finding a working payphone, anyway.  Best I could manage was an empty kiosk where the phone had been ripped out.

Shouldn't the skinny one (Elwood) be driving?

Seriously, if you were to ever come to America, I think you would be extremely disappointed.  That's because our roads are no longer teaming with chrome-laden, button-tufted velour lined rolling gin palaces.  These days, the great American highways and byways are blighted by dull, anonymous, styled-by-committee mobile appliances bought by risk-adverse consumers interested only in low operating costs and a long warranty.  Alas, the only '74 Monaco you're likely to see over here will be like the one in your photo; a kitsch tribute to a fondly remembered film from long ago.

Cars from that era were never designed or built to last.  A prime example is my dad's 1974 Thunderbird (or ThunderTurd, as I insisted on calling it!).  Bought brand new in the spring of '74, it was towed away for scrap in 1981.  Even as a child I could recognise this was a terrible car.  Enormous in size and girth on the outside yet tiny and cramped on the inside (a reverse-Tardis, if you will), it was riddled with faults that even the Ford dealer gave up on trying to fix.

There's a very good reason only a handful of these cars still exist as stationary objects in museums.  That's because these cars were rendered stationary for a considerable amount of the time during the era when they were supped to be used as...... well, as cars!  Good riddance to all of them!

That's not quite true. I'll probably see the occasional '70s landyacht here and there, but I'll also be seeing such amazing EXOTICS like Camry's, Accords and Sonatas!!!!

I don't think a limousine is so ridiculous as to fall into the category of intentionally stalling -- we're just not seeing too many. Besides, there's already the rule that a fresh challenge is due if no one gets anywhere after a week.

Speed_Racer

There is approximately one limo in Salt Lake City. It's like freakin sasquatch...I've heard stories that it exists, but never seen it with my own eyes
