They couldn't fit the clutch pack in with the longer V12.  It's about space.

It kind of is.  We have serious and blinding performance in the hands of lots of people who don't know what they're doing with it.  It's kind of like handing out guns at a playground.

There's the whole front diff + half shafts.  I can't imagine that's feasible with the giant V12 in there.

Considering the premium they charge over the S65 one could have expected something like sapping power from the front of the engine, running a shaft through the oil pane or something. Other companies solve problems like this.
