Be sure to ground the welder on the PCM too, that's a good ground.

The PCM is always grounded well, otherwise it wouldn't work.

Might have a new adventure in the Element this summer.  Where Minnesota and Canada meet, there are thousands of lakes called the Boundary Waters.  I've been a few times in groups 6-8 people in size.  I'm thinking about doing a week long solo trip in a kayak.  OEM roof racks for kayaks are cheap

I feel like we should create a Cute Utes section and then move this thread to it.

That trip sounds like it'd be a blast.

Rupert

Indeed, but it sounds like he's doing the trip so that he can put a roof rack on his car.

  I've done that trip multiple times.  Doing it solo wasn't possible with a miata as an only car.

How long of a Kayak do you have?  If it's an 8-footer, maybe you wouldn't even need a rack if you took the passenger seat out (assuming you're riding solo).  Save the cost of the rack and extra fuel used to lug it on the roof...and you'd still have plenty of room inside for all your other stuff...?

A canoe on a BRZ...?  Naw, not happening.

I think a few people have put bike racks on them, but that's it.  It's a tiny car, much smaller in person than in pictures IMO.  And now I'm riding on coilovers too.  It's not much of a canoe/kayak hauler

The suspension you have does not limit what you can put on the roof, and neither does size (so long as it's not a microcar or something). I would put a canoe on the roof of the 944 if I had one.

Fuck roofs. Get a trailer. Anything can tow a trailer.

No, but I don't want to take the BRZ down a bunch of dirt roads.
