Oddly enough, I like the old one better.

This looks like a long Dart..

I still reserve judgement till I see official pics.

I think Chrysler's investment in the current "Sebring" 200 really paid off. My guess is that the 2015 model will be priced significantly higher -- eliminating many better able to afford a 2013/14 MY 200 sedan. However, I am most certain the upcoming model will be hailed a far better car in this highly competitive segment.

Looks promising, has kind of a Tesla look to it. Lightyears better looking than the current 200.

I am sure it will suck as much as the old one. The interior looks a decade old with a stupid layout. I guarantee the powertrain will be unrefined and inefficient. It's a stretched Dart, which is a stretched Giulietta, which is a stretched version of a hundred different Fiats. The new Cherokee is on an even more stretched version of the same platform.

Meh.

I was hoping the 200 was going to resemble a miniature 300.  Needless to say, I'm disappointed.

300's looks are dated and wouldn't work on a FWD platform. I think the most important thing here is that it's an improvement over the old one, which was banished to rental counters and subprime buyers

big improvement over the old one. I wonder if the convertible will live on in this new design.

I don't think that would translate too well from big car to small car.  Some design languages do (usually) work across sizes...BMW and Audi come to mind...but the 300 has been its own design as a big car from the beginning. A small version would almost look cartoonish, I'd imagine.

I predict that this vehicle will be just as mediocre as the current car, or the Sebring before it.

Mediocre doesn't mean "bad".  It means "average".  There is not a single category in which the current car excels relative to the other cars in that segment.  It's the sort of car you buy because you got a screaming deal on it and you don't really care much about what you drive.

To be fair, the same could be said about some of the segment's top sellers (Camry, Altima, Sonata).

The current 200 is definitely behind in interior quality, but mechanically nothing outside of the Mazda6 will thrill or is really robust/interesting. I think this version will improve the interior, leaving only the whole subprime buyer image as its only real problem WRT competition. It does look a little small too but again we will see.

You don't gain conquest sales unless you can draw people away from the competition.  Offering the same thing for the same money as your competitors isn't going to lure satisfied customers away from their tried-n-true products.  You either need to offer the same for less, offer more for the same, or hope your competitors screw up and give their current customers reason to look elsewhere (as the US domestic manufacturers did in the 80s and 90s).

Very pedestrian looking.  The only notable feature is the grille...simply because the lower half looks like a distorted reflection of the upper half.

It looks like an Impala with wayy worse proportions.

It doesn't look bad, mind you, just not great.

Looks pretty nice for the most part. It would look a lot better with the badge lost in the middle of the grille, though.
