Nothing groundbreakIng design wise, but good looking nonetheless.

That looks really fucking good.  But DSG only?  Man, when I win the lottery, the only car I'm going to want to buy on sale today is an R8 convertible.

This car is slated to share a great deal with the next gen R8 (the two already share a fair bit).  If this car isn't getting a traditional stick-shift, the R8 probably won't either.

Nice looking for a Lambo.  Silly name though.

Since Lambo names its cars after famous fighting bulls, it could have been much worse. I like the name.

Looks pretty slick. I suppose the transmission choice has something to do with their clientele's past wishes.

El Raton would be a decent name for a car.

Most Lamborghinis have names which come from bullfighting in general, but not necessarily names of Bulls. Murcielago, Reventon, Islero, and El Diablo were all famous bulls from the Muira line; Muira was never a bull, but the name of the breeder that started it. Espada is the name of one of the swords a matador uses.

Countach is a sort of Piedmontese cat-call that one might uitter when seeing a beautiful woman.

And of course, names like LM002, 350 GT, etc, would make for funny names.

Ah, I see it's really Huracán.  My first thought on seeing it was 'hurry can'...something that would be more appropriate for a car from China or India.

Huracán is the name of a fighting bull, keeping with Lambo tradition.

It's nowhere near that serious. Cars like this are better at the track with paddles. And if you buy a car like this and never take it to a track you're an asshole.

But even if you did take it to a track now and again, it will still spend >95% of its time being driven on the street.  Besides that, unless I'm racing to pay the bills and put food on my table, I don't care about extracting every last thousandth of a second out of a car at the track.

Looks kinda cheap to me, esp. the wheels and lower rear (tailpipes).

~5L engine and ~600 hp? That's probably a ~9,000 RPM motor. Now add AWD, and ever shorter gearing and ever lighter flywheel to get max performance and driveability. A traditional M/T would suck balls in such a car - DSG is the only way to go.

I don't think anyone who buys a Lambo buys one as their only car. And even if you aren't pushing 10/10ths, when you have a car at this performance level being able to focus on positioning the car properly requires more focus. It gets to higher speeds and stops way quickly than a normal car, which would make managing that 3rd pedal that much harder.

Don't get me wrong, I think a stickshift has its place. I don't think my car is fast enough for paddles. But this Lambo definitely is.

As for the car, it looks ok for a Lambo.

He did! But she still had to shift it herself! It had a switch mounted to the shift lever so whenever she she put pressure on it the clutch disengaged.....

so she still shifted with her right hand but just didn't have to move her left foot?
