Hatches are a must.

We're thinking of sticking with the TSX. My boyfriend usually gets a new-car itch every four years or so, but wow, he's actually thinking the TSX is a long-term keeper.

I think most cars are bought because of itches, but you could keep the TSX and add to your collection?

We've decided to use the "saved" money on sailing instead.

Not really a problem when you realize your car has long term potential. The TSX wagon is a nice car with very few downsides. I don't know why they aren't more popular.

When has a station wagon ever been popular in the US? IMO there isn't a car on the market that I would bother replacing the TSX with, right now. Great car, that

Outback?.....

I was going to address the Outback, by mentioning that it imitates an SUV with its higher ground clearance and body cladding.

Sounds like me with my current car. Like your boyfriend (husband), I changed cars pretty often. But I am so content with my current car I cannot even see myself buying a different car right now. I think it is just a case of finding the right car for your tastes/needs and perhaps, for you guys, the TSX wagon is it.
