What kind of craigslist ad is that? I see no misspelled words and it has more than one picture

KBB is 4K ish, and even at 5K miles mine is the most reasonably priced car.

The other comparable car is $3600 and has 190K miles.

And they're actually decent pictures...not like someone who's never used a cell phone camera before. :mask:

Good luck!

You might want to note that the stock wheels do appear in one of the pictures. And as a potential buyer, I'd also wonder why there's no interior photo.

This is the worst

http://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/5428871038.html (this one is mine)

I had a deal for a friend to take it for 4K (which is still plenty fair) and it fell thru.

Mine is literally the best Yaris on CL, and is priced fairly. Low gas prices make this suck

This 2009 Sedan isn't a bad deal, but it's clearly got front damage from hitting something, and the miles/vs year means it's been driven more over a shorter period of time than mine.

$5100.

http://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/5422043910.html

This car is identical to mine, and has 10K more miles, yet he asks $800 more than me. Also I think this is a dealer trying to post in the private owner section
$4800
http://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/5427599872.html

This car has 328K. $2200

http://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/5429688621.html

This car is priced cheaper than mine, but has been hit in the front, and it probably has no airbags. It looks like the same guy who had a black one I looked at before I bought the one I have. Also, the front bumper looks dubious and the lack of horn is telling. The horn and airbag clockspring/circuit are the same in these cars, so if you have no horn you probably have no airbag.

$3600
http://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/5431185665.html

Two weeks ago this guy was asking only $1900. The car is rebuilt salvage title, and has serious frame and tire wear issues.

$4000
http://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/5416071957.html

And this one is also rebuilt salvage title.

$3500

I hope. This is making me angry. I can't buy a new real car until I sell the Yaris.

What is the trade in value, $700? Go to your local FCA dealer. They will probably give you 15K for the Yaris if you promise to take a Dart off their lotm

This sale makes me want to run the car into a wall.

2o6

Sold.

$3600.

Not 100% happy, but cheap gas is ruining the resale. Also, I did the math, I may have initially over paid. But when you do the math, this car really only cost like $1000 per year to run, aside from gas. That equates to like $99 a month before interest.

It's OK, I got more from my Tax return this year than I expected, and the Tribute needs less work so I have less $$$ invested.

2o6

Also, because gas is cheap, the cars I want have also equally dropped in price. If I work, I can find a nice Sonic, Mazda 2, Ford Fiesta or even Honda Fit for under 8K.

In my experience, finding a Honda Fit in that price range is pretty tricky, unless it has done mega-miles.  But a Sonic, Mazda2 or a Fiesta with reasonable mileage are all good choices in this price range and relatively easy to find.  A small B-segment hatch will very likely be my next car purchase and all of these, along with the Yaris and Rio, are potential front-runners.  If you want to go slightly bigger, a Cruze or a 2012-or-later Focus are also contenders which go for around the same amount of money.

Manual windows suck.  Rags, your race car is illegal now anyway.

Manual windows are the best.  Never have to worry about motors failing or rails that need cleaning in order to get the window up.
