Are they dimensionally bigger? Seems like full-size trucks are about the same size they'rve always been. The modern trucks look bigger, and most of them are crew cabs.

The current 1/2 ton RAMs are about 5" longer compared to similar bed and cab configurations from the late 90s.  Width and height seem to be about the same.

Wheelbase? That's probably the functional length difference you'd feel driving it.

My folks had an S10 extra cab, which always felt much much smaller than my Ranger single cab. Part of it was height, but part of it was just the way it drove.

So, realistically, not significantly larger. I have a 2011 Ram 1500 and, while it doesn't "drive" any bigger than any other full size pickup I've ever owned, the interior room is much better. The rear seat in the Dodge has great legroom, even for a big guy.

IIRC most trucks of the mid 90s were regular or slightly extended cabs.  Now most are crew cabs.

That and cowl hight looks to have gotten a shit ton higher, which doesn't affect lxwxh or weight, but helps make something feel massive and ponderous.  Along with having a higher hood, and giving much more visual weight.
