What makes you think that? ;)

Chris Harris has a huge car collection comprised of exotics as well as many reasonable daily drivers.  There isn't exactly a whole lot of great excuses to take something that has a top speed of 25mph on public roads to do pretty much anything.

The best hits for YouTube car videos boils down into 3 categories... and he first did a 2CV video when it was his own personal channel
1). Rare exotics you buy, make a couple videos on for $$$$, and then sell when nobody is looking
2).  We Bought/Tested xxxxx and it broke!!!
3).  This epic piece of trash is so cool!!!!

He made a shit ton of money with his original 2CV video from his original YT channel trying to tell the world how the piece of trash is cool.

so the argument boils down to; he doesn't like it because he keeps doing videos on it?
Maybe we need to start off small. I mean, they don't let you fuck the glumpers at Glumpees without a level 4 FuckPass, do they?

That may be so, but he must be a great actor because in his videos he seems to genuinely love it. I can understand where he's coming from. He even said it said it himself: "He likes to drive the full spectrum - from the top of the line powerful stuff to the bottom barrel stuff like the 2CV."

The guy just comes across as a real car enthusiast who appreciates all sorts of cars. ;)

Luggy soft-terrain tires aren't going to perform optimally on a hard-packed surface.  Be it baked clay or packed snow/ice.  Compound is also not intended for such low temperatures.

A snow tire is always best.  Besides the sipes being optimized for snow and ice, the rubber compound is designed to offer more grip even on bare pavement at low temperatures.

Luckily I drove the Mazda6 to work today, not the Miata (or El Camino), because I got a big rock chip in the windshield. :rage:
My commute only has 2 miles of freeway driving, but apparently it's a dangerous 2 miles.

No one had windshield cracks or chips in Kentucky. It's a plague here in Utah.

I was just joking that we should tax the construction and gravel companies more so we can have a "free windshield repair" fund for everyone in the state.

Seems like bad luck to me. It wouldn't have happened if you drove a different vehicle.

You should drive through Pennsylvania.  30% of the interstates are essentially unpaved because they are perpetually under construction.

The debris around here isn't necessarily from road construction. There's a steady stream of construction vehicles and gravel trucks driving on the highways.

If 30% of the roads are actively under construction, imagine the amount of debris from trucks driving on the other 70% to get to/from the construction zones.  And the construction zones in PA aren't isolated.  I swear I hit a new construction zone (with reduced speed limit and 2x fines) every 8 miles.

When we first moved up to NY the Interstate drive down to Scranton was SOOOOOOO horrible once you crossed the PA border. Potholes the size of small dressers. Then after about 6 months or so they patched them up but they were still bad. Then finally they re-paved the entire highway. SOOOOO much nicer!

Tesla are built so tight that rear windows spontaneously shatter.

Sunroofs and panoramic roofs spontaneously shattering is really not that uncommon.  It's safety glass, all you need is a nick in the wrong spot and poof

I'm not talking about sunroofs,  I'm talking about rear door glass.  On brand new cars without stone chips.  Like people park their car in their garage at night, and the next morning there's glass all over the floor.

Curving glass puts a ridiculous amount of internal stress on it, and that has to be annealed and properly relieved or else its like a spring wound to tight waiting to spring- and shatter.

Does Tesla make their own glass?
