All Porsche 911s to get turbos in 2015?

I would have much preferred to see a 2.0/2.5 TT H6 in the Boxster/Cayman than turbo 4-bangers.

How absolutely awful and sad. At least Detroit is keeping the N/A dream alive, and thus now, by definition, is making better performance motors.

Not so bad for me b/c altitude. No more harassing of 911s with my 1M @ the track.

I'm not even sure they would need twin turbos, though I guess it wouldn't hurt.

I'm wondering what's going to happen with weight. These might be the first base 911s to ever break the 3100lb mark.

Less lag with twin turbos. More complexity though.

BMW makes do though they do have 500-1000 more ccs for the same power.

Plus VW is able to get 300 HP with decent low end. They just boost the hell out of a tennis ball. Iron block though. Interesting conundrum

I of course love the GT3 RS but can't really see the value over the regular GT3. Huge bump in price for a very small difference in performance.

Considering the car makes over 800lbs of DF at 300km/r I'd say the track performance will be something to behold.

That's my point....Porsche is saying this is 5 secs faster than the GT3 at the Ring. On such a long track that ain't much (for the price boost).

Porsche has long had purple.

The 964 has been out of production since 1994.  And two offer purple as one of only 4 factory options is awesome.

And with the same drag as the normal GT3...
